My husband & I absolutely loved Casa aloe! Location was amazing, you are up & away from the main street which means peace & quiet, not to mention the stunning panoramic views of the ocean. The terrace is incredible! It's huge & we practically spent our entire stay sitting on the terrace drinking limoncello (that the owners of the house make themselves!) & eating fresh meats & cheeses from the grocery store that in conveniently located. The owner of the home that we had the pleasure of knowing is Lucia, she & her family couldn't have been more welcoming & accommodating. She helped us with everything from carrying our bags during check-in & check-out to helping us coordinate our trip to Pompeii. Our trip to the amalfi Coast was a part of our honeymoon along with Paris & Rome, hands down our stay at Casa aloe was our favorite!

Everything was perfect for us: the quiet location, the huge terasse with the marvellous view, friendly and helpful owner, nice restaurants around. A very good starting point to visit amalfi, ravello, positano, Capri...for hiking!

The villa was fantastic with great amenities; very clean & modern.
Views from the huge terrace were amazing overlooking the sea.
We enjoyed amazing sunrises & sunsets each day.
There are a few steps to get up to the villa but the views and accommodations make it all worthwhile.

Casa aloe is spacious and comfortable apartment high above Praiano. Plenty of cooking equipment, decent WiFi and neat bedrooms.
The best feature is the wide balcony that runs across the length of the apartment, offering a great sea view. Excellent spot to sit in the afternoons or fire up the BBQ at dusk.
All amenities work fine, and the owner, Lucia, was welcoming and helpful if we needed information.
The house is about 100m away from the very well stocked local shop, Tutto per Tutti. All the household goods, wine and fresh produce you need. Praiano itself is smaller than Positano and amalfi, so does not feel overrun by tourists, but it lacks the better restaurants of Positano which is a 20 min bus ride away.
Praiano is technically 400m off the coast, but it is a steep and windy 30 min walk to the beach. As some writer once said, Amalfi is closer to the sky than it is the sea. That applies to the whole coast. Fortunately it's a beautiful walk.
The one potential downside of Casa aloe is if you have trouble with steps. There are about 80-90 steps to walk up to get home.
But for a family of three to four people, it's pretty good value for a week's stay.
