first off condo is beautiful and when we first walked in we all were like wow..loved being so close to pool .The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was really nice..now for the bad.as soon as we walked in we turned on a/c and the one in second bedroom did not work and the dryer also was not working so called maintenance .On the third day they finally replied with they had fixed the a/c which it still was'nt working and the dryer would have to be replaced and being it comes from the mainland would not be in before we left. on the 7th day of our stay the a/c in master went out . so now we have two a/c s that don't work and a dryer..The management company did offer to have a housekeeper do our laundry which we decided better to just wash and hang out to dry.The day before we were to leave they did bring us fresh towels and were told the dryer had not been working since the second of may. one of the guys they sent out to fix a/c said he does not even know how to fix a/c and did'nt know why they sent him..Really flustrating considering how much we spent on this place. We have been vacationing in hawaii for the last ten years and I guess I would have to say we have been very fortunate to not have had anything like this happen to us. We all understand that things break it was how the situation was not taken care of in a timely matter. We stayed at this condo from May 11 to May 21 .Understand i gave the condo a five because if everything was working it would have been a five.

I have nothing bad to say about this place; and I'm very particular. Hanalei is my favorite area, so this place was perfect for our needs. It is some distance to Kaapa, Poipu, and Waimea Canyon, but what a beautiful drive!!

Great location right next to St Regis, wonderful view of ocean, no sunsets as its around the corner. Shared this with my brother and his wife, plenty of room for all. Condo is very nicely appointed, kind of Tommy Bahama furnishings, kitchen is great, had some trouble with the oven, but went on line and figured out how to unlock the self cleaning mode it was stuck in. Patio could use a little TLC, but it rained 3 of the 5 days we were there, so wasn't a issue for us. Would have been nice to be able to use grill on patio, no propane(rental agreement said no grilling??). Other reviews mentioned no blinds on the side that faces the parking lot of the St Regis, was not an issue for us, they valet all the parking next door so we really never saw any one in the lot. Would most definitely go back again. Aloha!!

This condo is worth every penny! The furniture and amenities were top notch and very clean. The remodeled kitchen and bathrooms were spectacular. These pictures do not do it justice, the view of the ocean is unreal.
The only two issues we found were with the TV and clothes washer. We found that the hot and cold water is backwards. I failed to contact the maintenance person on site to fix it. Also, to access the cable channels, you will have to go through the Blu-Ray player and not the TV itself. The output for the cable box goes into the Blu-Ray so you have to search through the menu to find the "input".
Other than these two small issues everything about our stay was excellent. The owners left a discount grocery card for the nearby store which was nice. The best thing about the condo was having air Conditioning! This helped being that our family is not used to the humidity. It kept us cool at night for a more comfortable night's sleep. We plan to go back in the next few years and plan to stay at this condo again.

Eight years ago my wife and I stayed at the Princeville Resort on our honeymoon. We absolutely loved Kauai and this year we wanted to bring our children to Princeville to enjoy a relaxing week. With the cost of staying at the resort so high, we picked Puu Poa as the next best thing. I was absolutely perfect. Everything about it was first class. Well furnished, clean and the views were spectacular. What made it perfect was the location. Right next the trail leading to Puu Poa beach and right next door to the resort. It was as if we were staying at the resort again without the high cost. Puu Poa was a real bargain yet it felt like we were staying in a five star resort. Loved it and we look forward to coming back!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Puu Poa 201 in July 2012. The apartment and location are magnificent. The ocean view is wonderful. The apartment is spacious and has everything you might need. To top it off, a couple of nene geese had taken up residence on the front lawn when we were there. I miss it already! This is paradise.
