Perfect Retreat for Large Families or Groups, Lake Forest Lodge sits on a heavily wooded lot with unobstructed views to Lake Forest and the San Juan mountains. We offer a rare 5 bedroom /4 bathroom in-town location, so you’ll enjoy easy access to your vacation home on paved roads, yet be on a wooded lakefront lot for that total vacation ambiance.

Less than five minutes to Pagosa’s favourite spots, including the famed Pagosa Brewery and City Market, the best regional grocery store in south central Colorado. You will only be minutes away from the world famous Pagosa Geothermal Hot Springs and a short 45 minute drive to Wolf Creek Ski Area.

We offer amenities not found in most larger vacation rentals.

The master is unusually spacious with a walk-in tiled shower and a huge walk-in closet. The master has views to Lake Forest and easy access to the hot tub on the back deck with robe heaters.

Walk in the front door and be amazed by the massive great room. You’ll have plenty of seating for your crowd in front of the 12’ entertainment center, which includes a large-screen TV plus plenty of books, movies, games and CDs. The living area has two large comfortable sofas with recliners to rest your legs after hiking or skiing, OR cuddle up in front of the fire.

On workation? Work if you must in the study in the front of the house with windows overlooking the lake and an unforgettable desk and chair.

The dining room table truly seats 12 for your family banquets plus 6 at the bar on comfortable swivel barstools, so you can seat 18 for big meals. The huge kitchen has every amenity imaginable for whipping up gourmet meals for a crowd up to 20 people. You’ll love the elk ceramic dinnerware and lodge flatware!

Your guests will be delighted by the themed guestrooms. The split floorplan offers lots of room to spread out and privacy for larger groups. The master is on one side of the house, Moose Magic and Gone Fishin bedrooms are on the other side of the downstairs, and the rest of the sleeping accommodations are upstairs. Every bedroom offers lots of closet space and dressers so you can unpack and relax!

Master Bedroom: decorated in an old fashioned ski theme, from the showshoe coffee table in the sitting area to the artwork on the wall featuring views of Wolf Creek Pass. You’ll enjoy designer bedding and 600 thread-count sheets on a King Size bed.

Moose Magic: A downstairs queen room with designer quilt and moose-themed artwork. Moose Magic shares a downstairs bath with the Gone Fishin’ bedroom. The room features a large closet, high chest, two night tables and reading lamps.

Gone Fishin: This bedroom features a queen sized bed with a side window overlooking the lake, a double dresser and mirror, side tables and lamps.

Upstairs: The upstairs has been completely rebuilt in 2014 to add two bedrooms, two designer baths and an upstairs living / gameroom area.

Bear Lair: A great family room offers a queen over queen bunkbed that sleeps four comfortably. It also has an ensuite bathroom with brand new granite countertops and a tiled shower. NOTE! For safety reasons, no small children under 8 in the upper bunk.

Elk Escape: The second upstairs bedroom has a queen over queen bunkbed and close access to the second brand new bathroom upstairs. NOTE! For safety reasons, no small children under 8 in the top bunk.

Living room / Game Room: This area features a second TV watching area so grown ups and kids can each have their own entertainment. This room features a TV with DVD and cable access and is furnished with a fun lodge themed futon that folds into a full bed and two lodge single futons to sleep 4 right outside the upstairs bathroom. NOTE! The single futons are suitable only for children 12 and under.
