Boasting a comfortably furnished interior with a full kitchen, screened lanai, large tropical yard with deck and fire pit, even a fabulous outdoor shower! You'll never want to leave! Your Longboat Key vacation oasis awaits, nestled beautifully between 2 shores, the blissful and beautiful white sand beach just a 4 minute walk to the right and the glistening turquoise water of Sarasota Bay just 300 yards to the left. This private and serene cottage is the perfect vacation spot on Longboat Key for mermaids, sea captains, travelers, and families who want to enjoy spending time as they wish. This lovely cottage is close to all the action, yet tucked away on a quiet private lane so that time at home can be relaxing and stress free, just the way life should be. The Mermaid’s cottage has 3 lovely bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, an open concept kitchen, dining room, living room, screened porch and private tropical landscaped outdoor areas to dine or relax in. Just two houses from the bay, there is a boat ramp bayside if you want to trailer your boat (s) or jet-skis, you can launch right there. On the Gulf-side, in just a 4 minute walk you will find yourself on the most spectacular wide, uncrowded beach that runs for miles. Longboat Key is a vibrant community with great restaurants, unique shops, places of worship, beautiful grocery stores, pharmacies, hardware stores, a medical clinic, tennis courts, pickleball courts, bike paths, nature preserve, what ever your heart desires, you will find it here on Longboat Key. Lots of great activities for children and adults; Parks, playgrounds, Ringling Museum is close by as is the famous Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The vibrant art galleries and restaurants in St Armands Circle are just a quick 8 miles down the road. Kayak , paddle board, bike, golf, play tennis, fish, swim, walk the beach, collect shells, or just unwind island style - you will find it all here.

What will you find inside? Three bedrooms: Master Bedroom with King Bed and en-suite Bathroom with tiled shower, Bedroom 2 with Queen Size Bed; Bedroom 3 with a Twin over Full size Bunk Bed and a separate Twin Bed, These 2 bedrooms share a full size bathroom. with tub and shower. Plus there is also a great outdoor shower for washing up from the beach or just enjoying a warm tropical outdoor experience. All bedrooms have flat-screen TV's. The living area is open concept, great for entertaining and spending family time cooking, dining, relaxing in the living room or on the lovely screened porch. Large Flat-screen Smart TV in the living room.The kitchen is fully stocked with most everything a vacationing cook would need including blenders, coffee pots, rice cookers, electric tea kettles, food processors, mixers, even a slow cooker! A washer/dryer, Iron and Ironing-board is also available, but who wants to do laundry on vacation?

There is a great fire pit in the back for chillin' in the evening, reminiscing about the day or telling old sea tales from days past. There is a large screen TV, wifi, games, puzzles, beach umbrella and chairs, beach towels, fully stocked linens, even umbrellas for the occasional rainy day. So come and join the fun, relax, chill out, and enjoy all that beautiful Longboat Key has to offer.

Longboat Key is easy to get around, it is easy to bike, walk, there is access to public transportation or rental cars. The fabulous beach is only a 4 minute walk, and there is access to handicap parking if needed. Shopping, restaurants, grocery, all easily accessible. It is a world class destination where you can relax and enjoy your time away from home in a beautiful home!
