My little Thai nephew has just renamed this house "Baan Saen Sabai", which is most apt because in Thai "saen sabai" is a phrase used to express one's sense of extreme wellbeing, tranquility and free from worry. I could not agree more! However, here is a more prosaic description of the place:

Modern and spacious villa with large private pool/jacuzzi and garden in a gated community with 24h security. Suitable for large groups and families looking to enjoy a perfect sunny getaway. Peaceful location up on the hills overlooking Hua Hin town with its white sandy beaches just a short drive away. More than 8 internationally renowned golf courses nearby. Light and airy bedrooms and comfortable living areas are air conditioned throughout. Modern conveniences include fast fibre optic broadband and True Vision satellite TV. Fully equipped kitchen in the main house and a separate utility room with washing machine. Separate guest house overlooking one end of the large rectangular pool with the master bedroom facing the other end. Large garden has an open deck with loungers to enjoy the hot sun and a covered area with outside dining table and chairs. There is covered parking space for 2 cars within the grounds. The gate is remotely operated and the house is fully alarmed for maximum peace of mind.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Rubbish collection is every Tuesday so keep the bins inside the gate until the day. Please separate recyclable waste such as plastic, glass, metal and cardboard from general waste.

Response from the owner Thank you for your kind review and we are delighted that you had a comfortable stay and would come back again. With regards to your comment about the pool being shady, I would like to explain really for the benefit of future clients. The main house is directly east-facing so you get plenty of warm, or indeed very hot, sunshine falling on most of the pool and terrace, which is in front of it, all morning. At midday, as we are near to the equator, the sun is directly overhead, which means the entire pool is sunlit with no shading by either the main house or the pool annexe at the opposite end. It's only by mid afternoon onwards that the shallow jacuzzi end is shaded by the main house as the sun falls behind it. Personally I think the siting of the pool in relation to the house is ideal, which influenced us to buy the house in the first place. Thank you once again for choosing our home and we look forward to welcoming you again.

Thank you also for the constructive feedback which we will endeavour to improve on. We do have dustpan and brush as well as a mop stored in the washing machine room behind the guesthouse but you may not have discovered that as you took your clothes to the laundry. Also we have negotiated a cheaper deal for the water since your stay at 250 Baht per tank. We are also close to getting the municipal water supply (the pipe work is laid just waiting to register the meter). Therefore all in all we hope that future clients will have an even more relaxing time and thanks again for your kind comments. Carlie
