This holiday is ideal for those with children or those yearning for peace and tranquility.Explore peaceful country lanes by bicycle or on foot. For those interested in touring we are ideally located to discover the delights of Mayenne and the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Brittany and Normandy. Explore St Hilaire du Harcouet with it's busy Wednesday livestock market. Fougeres's medieval chateau and extensive forest, leisure park, artifical beach, and nature trails is just 30 mins away.Fougeres also has a brand new state of the art indoor swimming complex with spar pools. The forests surrounding Fougeres are ideal for picnics.There are numerous fishing lakes nearby. The world famous Mont St Michel is just 45 mins away. We are surrounded by farm land which attracts a wide variety of wildlife. One of our surrounding fields is home to a small herd of Charolais bulls. We regularly see young hares in the springtime. We also have a family of red squirrels living in our area. We have a wide variety of wild birds in the garden. We have many outdoor toys and games for all ages together and a huge selection of books. Alternatively why not pour yourself a glass of wine and relax by the pool and BBQ area just outside your front door A substantial welcome pack provided of local produce.

Free Wi-fi. Spacious sitting area with two settees. Fully carpeted. Variety of toys. Fully equipped with a cot, baby bath, and high chair. We have several stair gates for safety. There is a good selection of both outdoor and indoor toys available. Fans are supplied for the summer months. There is a huge range of books, jigsaws and family games in the sitting area. Upstairs there is a king bedded room with memory foam mattress, a twin bedded room and a further 2 twin beds on the mezzanine area (see photos for details)

The 30 ft private swimming pool is gated and locked and is now solar pump heated and ready from mid June. We have several inflatable toys together with safety arm bands and a safety flotation harness for toddlers to use in the pool. Sunbeds are sited on the decking nearest the pool. We open the pool mid June. There are a further two sitting out areas. Directly opposite is a large undercover play area for those under 10 with a fully furnished Wendy house. There are swings to suit all ages together with a toddlers slide. We have a wide variety of dolls prams, sit on tractors, tricycle's and scooters.
Once you have a confirmed booking, please email or phone us for our Brittany Ferries Club Voyage Membership number which will entitle you to a 10% discount on your ferry crossing.

“A wonderful gite in a fabulous area”
We had the most truly wonderful week here. Barbara and Keith were perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble. We really felt that we could ask them anything and they would help. The gite was spotlessly clean with way above average linen and towels - little touches that go a long way to make it a home from home experience. The grounds around the gite were perfect for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. Perfectly placed for day trips to St Malo and Mont St Michel. We would highly recommend staying here for a get away from it all holiday that is close enough to action if needed! A real gem.

If Barbara and Keith (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
