Corona Update: Unfortunately the coronavirus has played havoc with our Bed & Breakfast. For now the houseboat is unavailable for bookings, but we hope to reopen in December 2021. We hope to see you then.
This friendly houseboat is a complete floating apartment. There is a lounge room, open-plan kitchen, separate bedroom with double bed, and bathroom with full-length bath and shower. Perfect for 2 people, with a sofa bed for 2 more guests.
Situated on the beautiful Raamgracht, near the Nieuwmarkt, in the heart of the old centre. Everything is literally within walking distance! The Stopera, the Hermitage, Rembrandt House, shops, cafes and restaurants are in the direct neighbourhood. China Town is about five minutes walk with a huge variety of Asian restaurants and take-aways. The Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk, and the Van Gogh museum are about 1 km distance.
The Raamgracht is an attractive, quiet oasis in the heart of this busy thriving city. There is little traffic, just boats, bikes and the occasional swan that pass by. The metro station is just around the corner, making it easy to transfer from and to the airport via Central Station.

From the moment I contacted Jenny she replied, she answered all my questions and was very helpful. We were late meeting her at the houseboat but she was lovely and stayed to chat with us. The boat is lovely, warm and spacious for two people. Everything you need is there, and the location was perfect as we didn’t want to stay too central. The area is very peaceful and the walk into the centre is lovely. Due to a bad storm we had to stay an extra night and Jenny was very accommodating. We had visits from the ducks and swans throughout our stay, and Jenny provides a bread basket to feed the ducks, I am ashamed to say that we probably over fed them but they were very cute and we gave them all names. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jenny or her lovely houseboat, we had a perfect stay and will definitely go back again. Thank you Jenny, you made our girly weekend a fabulous stay. What a lovely host! Jennie was so wonderful and helpful! We were absolutely thrilled, after a long holiday in small hotel rooms and uncomfortable beds; we ended our trip with almost a week in Jennie's houseboat. What a dream! We're hoping we can stay here again on our next return. The houseboat is more than just comfortable, it's convenient and perfectly located, warm and inviting. Has everything you need and close to everything else including laundromats. You're visited by the swans, geese and ducks and serenaded by the church bells. The bed is extremely comfortable, with extra bedding if needed. Well stocked and coffee machine included! yahoo! Thank you so much Jennie, thank goodness we found this houseboat! You won't be disappointed!
“Book Oasis houseboat - you’ll be glad you did!”
My wife & I were in Amsterdam 6/13/19 - 6/16/19. This was her 3rd trip there and my second. She has always wanted to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam, so that was our goal this time around. After extensive research we decided to book the Oasis houseboat and we couldn’t have been more happy about our decision. The boat is clean and updated, and in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We really felt like locals staying there. The boat is close to almost everything you would want to do or see. The Central train station is a 20min walk or 5 min Uber ride. Just about everything we wanted to do was walkable, and at the most, 15-20mins away. The boat is about 5mins from a very nice grocery store and bottle shop, which gives you the option of not having to go out for every meal. The other thing we loved about the boat was that it was private, and we didn’t have to share it with other renters. When researching other houseboats, pay close attention to the fine print. Often times what you’re renting is just a bedroom, and you’ll be sharing the common spaces with other renters and/or the owners. My wife & I are in our 40s, and well past our youth/backpackers’ hostel days, so having the Oasis all to ourselves was ideal. Jennie is a very kind and hospitable host! When we checked out, Jennie contacted me to let me know that I had left behind an article of clothing, and then she was kind enough to take the time to mail it to me. Doubtful I would have gotten that kind of treatment from a major hotel chain. I’m sure one day we’ll return to Amsterdam with our kids, and when we do we’ll be returning to the Oasis! If you’re looking to get a flavor of what it’s like to live as a local in Amsterdam, and you want to be close to all that the city has to offer, book Jennie’s boat, you’ll be glad you did!

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jennie (the owner) a message.
If Jennie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
