Interaction with guest

The Grove cottage is one of 5 cottages located at the same site. They are all unique in style and age created from one large country mansion in the heart of the welsh countryside. It is A generous size with a separate living room and dining with a solid fuel stove for comfort. It overlooked the great Wellingtonia tree in the garden that towers 100 feet over the park. All cottages have wood-burning stoves which should be lit for your comfort throughout the season if necessary. ( wood is supplied in the large stone barn behind the cottages) Please make yourself aware of the requirements for their operation. Electric heating is also supplied for additional comfort but Pool and Gallery cottages will require log burners for heating in cold

“Lovely quiet retreat woods great fun for children and dens”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2012

We had a lovely quiet stay here the cottage is comfortable and the woodburner was lovely of an evening. The decore is aged in places and the kitchen crockery a mismash but there was everything you needed. The gardens are a little run down but the kids loved them, making dens and climbing the trees, it was a little heaven for them. Great walking nearby and places to explore we had a great holiday. Thank you.

Response from the owner Dear Guest Thank you for your review and comments. We will make sure the crockery is more orderly in our cottages. Unfortunately, when large groups rent all of them, a lot of items are moved around and it can be quite a job putting things back for the cleaners. We are as we speak redecorating some of the cottages and the garden will also be more tidy for our guests in future. We are please your children had a lovely time and we do hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards Daniel

“a great place to stay with children”

Reviewed 28 Dec 2011

Grove cottage is a great place to stay and it has lots of character. The cottage is very well modernised with the addition of a wood burning stove for any chilly nights. The gardens and whole estate are lovely to explore and relax in and afford fine views of the nearby valley and hills. The whole area is full of interest and beauty and the friendly owners can help with local information and advice.
