This 7000 square foot villa offers breathtaking views of long island sound. A large back yard with access to a private pool makes our villa a dream for families and couples. While villas are fairly close on either side of the property, large privacy hedges keep the house very private. Perfect for those seeking relaxation. 200 square meters built in 2009 and decorated in a classic Greek style which includes 2 levels living/dining room with a sitting corner, fireplace and TV with DVD and a large terrace with beautiful views. The master suite contains its own private bath with a Jacuzzi. Two of the other three bedrooms have twin beds and the third bedroom can accommodate another couple since it has a big double bed.The nearest beach is in 3,5km distance in Platanias and Adelianos Kambos, which are the most well known seaside villages for the holidaymakers with restaurants, super markets and bars, stores with clothes or souvenirs and with a very good bus and taxi transport for your own service.

We spent a wonderful 8 days in this villa. Our welcome pack was great, the location was panoramic and the resident cat a delight. 3 floors, loads of room, we cooked in and ate out.mall was fantastic.

“Archos Villa - a peaseful and wonderful place to stay!”

Upon our arrival, I was preparing myself of the house being more worn down and dirty than the pictures. Pictures always lie, and I did not want to be disappointed. So I lovered my expectations, and hoped the house would be at least ok. However, what met us that evening, right after the sun set, was the perfect start to our two weeks holyday in beautiful Krete! The house owner, Gianis, and Manos, was on the balcony waving us welcome. After the emails prior to our holiday, it felt almost like coming home to relatives. The driveway was beautifully lit up. It was clean, and the garden was just so well trimmed! Coming into the house, I could se right away that the pictures lied. This was SO much better than the pictures! In every way! I had expected the house to be a little bigger, but still, this was more than big enough for 4 adults and 4 kids. Everything clean, no signs of worn down furniture. And best of all - you come into a cosy home! Not like som empty, cold hotel room. This was just perfect! And on our way through the livingroom and out on the balkony, we could see the table was set with Gianis' own Raki, som olives, and local cheese. After a welcoming "Yamas!" and a little snack, I just knew that we had chosen the right place to stay for our holiday! So yes, the pictures does lie - the house was much better than the pictures showed! The web page also deserves some evening pictures, because with the outdoor lighting the evening atmosphare is just wonderful! Since we arrived late in the evening, Gianis had filled the fridge with water, bread, ham & cheese, and some juice. So everything was set for breakfast, without having to go out looking for a super market in the dark. We were hungry for some gyros though, so we drove down to the nearest town (10 minutes) where there were plenty of tavernas to choose from. It is a long strip of tavernas, supermarkets, shopping centre, og cart and minigolf - Perfect for a evening out With the kids when you don't want to og the extra 10 minutes to the old town. We also used the BBQ area some evenings. The BBQ area also need more justefying pictures. A great place in the "back" of the house, surrended by a ligted stone wall, lime tree, a little vedgtable garden, and off course the olive trees. A Perfect end of a day at the pool. The pool area also was great when you travel with kids. The down stairs livingroom has a entrence out to the garden and the pool, so the kids could play in the pool, and go inside to draw or play in the livingroom. We found this perfect, because the children could get some rest in the shade without to much hassel. We could still be out in the sun while the kids managed on their own. The pool was also very clean and delicate. I also must thank Gianis and Manos for making sure we had everything we needed, all the time. You really feel taken care of when you stay here. I reckon if you rent from a big rental company or similar, you are forgotten the second you pay and get the key. But in Archos Villa you are Gianis' guest, and he really makes you feel at home! Also, listen to the recomendatons you will get for restaurants. The ones we tried after recomendations from Gianis/Manos was the best places we went! So, if you need a place to stay, stay at Archos Villa.
