Property Description

This Cottage is one of the original 'Cribs' of Te Anau and was built by my Grandfather back in 1942. It was originally located right on the edge of Lake Te Anau, but the often cold wind off the Lake during winter prompted him to 'relocate' the cottage down to the back of the section where it is now nestled in it's private and sheltered position. As customary back in this day, the 'Crib' under went many additions and renovations as the family and finances grew. In 2011 the cottage was renovated,stripped and rebuilt it from the inside out.

The cottage now boasts a large and modern Open Plan Kitchen, Living and Sleeping space.

There is Under Floor Heating in the tiled areas of the Kitchen and Bathroom with Plush Carpeting in the Main Living/Sleeping area.

The huge King Size Bed is made up with; Woollen Underlay, Dual Control Electric Blanket, and Egyptian Cotton Sheets.

The Fully Self Contained Kitchen includes; Dishwasher, Microwave, Stove/Oven, Range Hood, Fridge/ Freezer, and all the pots 'n' pans and utensils you made need if you want to cook up a storm instead of dining out in one of Te Anau's many Cafes or Restaurants.

If you are eating in, all the Crockery and Serving Dishes are here for you. As well as Red, White and Bubbly Glass Ware so you enjoy some awesome New Zealand wines

The Living Area has 2 very comfortable leather lounges, 40cm flat screen TV/DVD and Home Entertainment Centre.

The massive Bathroom has a monster shower with 2 shower heads. One 'Rain Forest' rosette above you and a second detachable 'Massage Head' for the ultimate shower experience. The Free Standing and 'Deep' Bath is for soaking those tired muscles if you have been out enjoying the many World Renowned Walking Tracks in the area.

Last but not least the large deck area at the rear of the cottage is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the balmy summer evenings and to spot the abundant native bird life that frequent the property.
