Railway Cottage is situated in the quiet village of Taffs Well on the outskirts of Cardiff. The property is nestled at the foot of the Garth Mountain with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The appartment has easy access to transport links and many local amenities including shops, restaurants and real ale pubs. A short walk to train station.

Ideal for couples, it is the perfect base for walking and cycling holidays with the Garth mountain, Taff Trail and Castell Coch within easy reach and plenty of interesting and historic places to visit nearby.

We ask our guests to arrive after 3pm and to leave the premises clean and tidy by 11am on the day of departure.

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required upon final booking payment, to be refunded on day of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

Getting around

Trains - run from Taff's Well every 10 minutes or so at peak times into Cardiff, and take about 15 minutes. Last train back is about 23.25 (Mon-Sat). Buses - two buses pass the house into Cardiff the 26 and 132. It takes about half an hour to get into town. Road - we are close (7 minutes drive), but far enough away, from the M4, which gives you access for routes to and from London and West Wales.

“Great stay”

A great place for a couple of night's with the dog too. Clean, warm and comfortable. Convenient for Cardiff but quiet too, even the trains didn't bother us. Hosts very helpful and friendly.

How do damage deposits work?
