Early 18th century village house, recently renovated to retain its original charm with old oak beams. Has a small enclosed garden with BBQ. Exclusive use of swimming pool in large garden a 50 metres away. The octagonal pool is 6.4 metres by 1.4 metres deep.
With Freeview UK TV, High Speed fibre optic Internet and Ethernet connection available. Also French TV.
The property is situated in Manot, a quiet village with a shop, post office and ceramic pottery café and restaurant where you can paint different moulds and have them fired ready to take home.Manot is on a scenic route and has its own small beach where you can kayak and pan for gold! There is also a public tennis court in the village.
Nearby Confolens is a quaint Medieval town on the River Vienne where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema.
Beautiful area for walking, cycling, kayaking, bird watching.There are also fishing and golfing facilities nearby. Other activities available near by are Velo rail,( which is like a pedalo on a railway track) Adventure park ,man made beaches with canoes and pedalos all within 25 mins. Many historic buildings, Chateaux and the best Gallo-Roman site to be found ( Cassinomagus) within 25 mins.
Have a fun day out for all the family at the Vallée des Singes and see the monkeys living in a natural habitat not caged ! Feeding time is great!
The capital cities of Limoges and Angouleme are both 45 mins away where more cosmopolitan activities can be found.Cognac / Bordeaux / St Emilion make a pleasant day trip for wine lovers.Car essential for exploring exciting area.

“Manot house”
Lovely home in a nice french village .Our family of 6 really enjoyed staying and the pool was a big hit. The setting is ideal as a base for exploring the lovely villages and towns in the area .Alison and Brian were very helpful but never intrusive and a font of knowledge on places to visit.Manot is a quiet french village and very peaceful . No hesitation in recommending this as a ideal break Kieran and Paula

However if you could be kind enough to indicate in an email to me what was your particular dissatisfaction, I will point it out to the company concerned and no doubt will benefit everyone for the future.Once again thanks for taking the time to review Chez Pineau, good luck in the future and hope to see you again. “Perfect spot with perfect hosts”
We are a family of five - three of whom are teenage boys. The house was a great size and well equipped - the two bathrooms were really useful and with the lovely sunny weather were really glad of the electric fans in the rooms. The pool was a bonus - about 20ft across, much bigger than it looks in the photos - and although it is in the owner's garden, it is very private with sun loungers and pool toys. The area itself was gorgeous with plenty to see and do. We had a great afternoon kayaking on the nearby river and enjoyed the velorail which was just up the road. Would definitely recommend - Alison and Brian are lovely but not intrusive and we really appreciated the many personal touches they provide that made the stay even more special.
