Very Good

“Board Walk”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2017

Condo is not very well kept, recliners did not work properly, not enough parking because is by Sea & Suds. Had to park across the street 6 times. Beach and pool were nice. Would not rent there again!

“Good place to stay”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2015

The condo is great for being a condo. Nice place to sleep and stay. Not many amenities at the condo. They offer a decent sized pool, and good beach access. The room we stayed in was a two room condo. The room itself was very clean when we arrived. The room was decent. I would rate it average for a beach condo. Plenty of space to unwind and relax. A nice kitchen with a table and bar to eat at so plenty of space for a decent sized family. I think the room slept 8? It was furnished with a queen bed in one room, two twins in another and a pull out couch. The beach was great no complaints. The parking lot is very small so some days or nights you will have to park across the street. Plenty of space across the street so no need to worry about running out of room. Sea and suds is right next door on the beach, and they have vallet parking for them. But they put the cars in the parking lot across the street so I suppose you could be left with no parking if the condo and sea and suds are packed? I dunno. Only other thing to add is, the condo isn't large enough to have a check in at the actual condo itself. So you have to go to another place to check in and get your access code to the rooms. Other than the tiny downfalls it's a good beach condo and you'll get your money's worth if you enjoy the beach.

“Broke back!!!”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2014

Was not the best condo that I've stayed in at Boardwalk. Couch bed fell through the floor at head and feet, so your body was bowed. Had to go buy air mattress. Patio furniture was broke. All plastic arm pieces cracked so when you leaned back you almost went all the way back. Every time I open closet door in master room, it fell off tracks-pain in the butt. Every time I set washer the dial/setting would come off in my hand. Ugh!!!!!! Not worth the money. Needs repairs & needs to be updated.

“The staff was friendly and helpful.”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2014

Though I did have some concerns, my stay was pleasant. The staff went out of its way to try to satisfy my needs. They provided a screen for a balcony door, which was needed for me to enjoy the Gulf. They were not successful in providing reliable phone service. The phones and jacks need to be replaced. I would have appreciated more visible security, as I am usually alone.

We haven't stayed at Boardwalk in many years, but decided to stay there due to location. The unit, itself, was more than adequate. It was clean, well kept and met all our needs. The parking situation was the pits. Cars were being left unattended in the pull through area under the building, so that you couldn't get through.( this happened to us multiple times). There were multiple cars in the parking lot with no parking pass and we observed people leaving Sea and Suds and going to these cars. Valet parking vehicles blocked the drive while waiting to be parked. We had 2 cars,so we opted to park one across the street so that we didn't take 2 spaces near the building, the parking across the street was just as bad. There was a wedding there one evening and wedding guest occupied a lot of available spaces. I am just glad we were within walking distance of lots of restaurants. We didn't leave in our car often, fearing we would not have a space on return. I know you can't create more space, but the folks who should not be in the space needs to be monitored better.

“Family vacation”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2013

This condo was great for our group of six. We wanted to spend our vacation on the beach and this condo is directly on the beach. There were a few maintainence issues, but I was very pleased with the speed and ease in which they were handled. I told the rental agent with Youngs Suncoast and the maintainance person came and fixed all the issues that very morning. The condo was clean and full of all the amenities needed to have a great time.

“The view and the sound of the surf were amazing!”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

Booking and check-in were friendly and easy. The building, though older, was clean and well managed. When I asked for an extra service because of a problem. (Not their fault), the extra service was prompt and effective. I liked the condo; it was clean, pleasantly decorated, comfortable, and well equipped. The location was very convenient. I wish there were a hot tub or that they heated the pool. As a single, older woman, I would like to see greater security ( either limited access to the building, elevators, and stairs, or a guard during evening hours. I enjoyed my stay.

“Gulf Shores is a great place to vacation”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2012

This was our first time at Gulf Shores, Alabama. We really enjoyed the (almost) daily walk on the beach, occasional watching of the dolphins, visiting local restaurants, attending the Marde Grau parades, etc. Our condo was ok, but could use a number of updates. We were concerned about using the 'old' clothes dryer, the carpets need updating, the toilet seat in the master bath needs to be replaced, the master bedroom matress cover was torn, the shower fixture in the main bathroom was difficult to use, the burners on the stove were not level and the doors leading out onto the balcony were difficult to open. The condo was well furnished, so had no need of purchasing cooking utensils, towels, etc. We enjoyed our stay in the area and plan, if the good Lord is willing, to return next year, but hopefully to a different building than the Boardwalk.
