Great place to stay for the money. Condo was clean when we arrived and we had no issues during our stay. Check in was quick and easy. Easy access to the beach from the building and wonderful view of the beach from the condo.

“Wonderful place”

The staff was very friendly. The room was amazing. It was clean had a lot of nice decore . It had a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony. I would recommend this place to any one. I plan on returning again next year.

“Nice Stay”

The facility provided the amenities as if you were living in a completely furnished apartment. The facility was older, but appeared to be maintained. Access to the beach was easy. I was surprised for the price that the Lounge Chairs and Umbrella were not included. For this time of year, which is just before prime summer break (prior to schools being out), the price was high for the age of the facility and for the current update of the furnishings - but it was comfortable. I suggest to Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals to brief people at the check in that the door in entering Island Shores has limited clearance and opens directly into the Kitchen counter leaving about 14 inches of clearance between the counter and the door. Very poor design, and actually does not meet the Southern Building Code nor Occupational Safety and Health administration for a 36 inch minimum total clearance, well unless you count the entrance to the facility does have the door way to the front Bedroom immedately the left of the door entrance by about 6 inches - which provide the clearest path to pull your roller luggage through. Very strange layout for an entrance. Amazing if they reversed the door to be a left had entry door (hinged on the left) instead of a right hand entry door (hinged on the right side from perspective of entrance side of door) you could open with complete clearance path down the kitchen path.

“Location, location, loc”

Great location, a little older & smaller than the inernet photos showed. Kingsized bed in master would help. Only a fair value $$.Would go back when we want this area. but would shop prices more.

“Watch yourself when walking into the condo”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

I received a bruise by walking into the unit and hitting my side on the counter that meets the door. Awkward position. Since these units do not have washers and dryers, I was disappointed that you had to pay to use these as "guests". Tv channels in bedroom were very limited. The check in was good but had to go to a different building to receive the keys. Upon checkout, the office stated it was open everyday but had a sign posted they were closed. All the envelopes were shoved in the overnight box with ours. The beach view was great with Sea n Suds just off to your right.

“Felt very at home yet on a great vacation all at once.”

The condo was very nice and clean. The veiw was perfect. Everything was there that was advertised. Only problem was the automatically closing door. Was a very tight squeeze from kitchen counter out the door and if your hands are full the door will close on you. If you are not careful the bottom of the door will catch you foot. We had a bad experience of my husbands toe top was about sliced off on metal on bottom of the door. If that could be remedied the place was perfect.

“Overall a pleasant stay.”

The staff at Youncoast were all very pleasant and helpful. The condo we stayed at was ok. Would have given a higher comfort rating but the layout was cramped at the entry way with door opening right at kitchen counter and 1st bedroom door right there also. Was clean and well equiped though. We were on 3rd floor with a nice view of beach. Some construction going on so a little noisy.Internet very slow. Would not have cared but still had some business to conduct despite being on vacation. Also wanted to check out info about things to do in the area (dolphin cruise etc.) so just used our smart phones. Our location was great.Though we prefer the washer/dryer be in condo, the laundry facilty was clean and appliances worked well. We were convienently located and within walking distant to restaurants and stores.

“Everything was perfect.”

We were looking for a place to share with another couple while in Gulf Shores to golf and wanted to spend around $100/ night per couple. Young's made that happen and the accommodations were ideal at Island Shores. We stayed at Youngs' properties in the past and felt sure they would not disappoint, it was a great three nights' stay. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Only suggestion I would make (and this would be from my husband's point of view, not mine), in the unit were in, is to put TV in the gulf view bedroom. There is a DVD player TV there, and while that (or none) would work fine for me, big time TV watchers would prefer to watch late night or early morning TV in bed.

“Great time.”

We had a great time. We stayed 4 days, it was right on the beach close to shopping in town and close to orange beach shopping. Condo was nice and clean.
