Enjoyed our stay in this property. It has a great quiet location and good amenities. The unit needs some upgrading of the furniture as it is somewhat tired. The bathrooms could also do with some updating such as new energy efficient toilets and some newer fixtures overall. We stayed for over a month and enjoyed our time.
“Kona condo rental”
Our recent stay at Punahele condos was very enjoyable. We had all the comforts of home. The swimming pools were very clean. The assigned parking space make parking easy. We hope to return.
“Awaiting a Response”
We had a good stay. When we arrived the floors were dirty. All of our feet were black by night. There was only one back up roll of toilet paper and one tiny (one load) box of laundry detergent so we soon had to make a store run. Initially I felt the property management company was helpful and I would have given them a five. However, I left my makeup bag and a few other toiletries in the unit on accident and I have not heard back from them. They said they would check with the cleaners and then they would check the drawer in the unit for me and they did not follow through. They have not responded to my second email asking if they were successful in finding my bag. At this point I am no longer feeling they are worthy of a high rating in professionalism. I am still awaiting a response. Mahalo.
Response from the manager I did check with the cleaners and they unfortunately did not find your makeup bag. With all our units being booked back to back during high season, it is very hard to check on items left behind by guests but we do our best to do it in a timely manner. I did check this morning after the next guest departed and went through all the drawers in all the rooms and did not find it either I'm sorry to say. Kona Coast Management

“Rental Property (Punahele B-107)”
Dear escapia RE: Rental Property (Punahele B-107) located in Keauhou, HI All in all this unit was aged and in serious need of attention. If you continue to charge the prices you do the owner should be required to upgrade the unit. Especially if they expect to receive the prices they charge. Looking about the complex I do not recall seeing another unit that had such deplorable deck furnishings. I would commend the cleaning crew for doing their job. I am totally unsatisified the unit and am requesting partial refunding of my rental. I should think 50% would be acceptiable. For your information some of our findings of unit B-107 are as follows. Deck: BBQ, Old, filthy, lid broken Plastic furniture: old uncomfortable and stained. Almost all other units have comfortable cushioned chairs and cleanable tables. Screening: not tight closing and screen torn. Living room: sleeper couch old and seems to be "sprung". Impossible to sit on and arise from. WiFi provided but no axcess code. Cushions stained on couch and some chairs soiled, stained. Master Bath: Extremely poor water pressure at hand sink. Poor water pressure at shower. Kitchen: refrigerator stained. Ice maker inoperative. Limited kitchen accessories, no barbecue accessories.
“We enjoyed our month in Kona”
As always we enjoy our month in Kona. Unit B107 was a nice location. Lots of sun. The only thing we found compared to other units we have stayed in That it was not very well equipped in the kitchen. Not enough plates no cereal bowls. Knives very dull and no steel to sharpen. Can opener Doesn't work very well. It's fine for a week but staying for a month we would like it better appointed. We would be interested In booking it next year if there could be some Improvements in the above. Let us know please.
“We will be back again!!”
This is a perfect place to stay on the Kona, especially for a family with kids. It is away from the hustle and bustle and is nice and quiet but less than 5 minutes away from the one of the best sunokel beach in the big island Kahaluu Beach park. Also The big shoping store is located just 10 min walk by the condo. The house is equipped with everything you need and is great for cooking and BBQing with the sunset. One problem is there is no inter net access. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The furnishings need updating. Appliances have been changed. The water heater was replaced during our stay. The unit was not adequately cleaned prior to us moving in. Sofa bed needed lines to be stripped. The sofa bed cannot be used as a bed. Unit needs more beach towels. What we love is the southern location -is easy access to snorkelling and shore diving to the south. Quite end of road access. Close to grocery, pharmacy and movie theater.. The unit is on the lower level which allows the patio to be open and provides it's own BBQ.
