“Great location as home base for Savannah Marathon”

We had 3 couples doing the Savannah Marathon staying in the upper level 3/2 apartment which is 3 short blocks from the finish at Forsyth Park and a mile from the start downtown. You'll want a car or bike to get downtown. This is a regular neighborhood where locals live away from the touristy downtown. This home is a large two story built with quality and character. There is a gravel lane running behind and many homes are undergoing upgrades as gentrification spreads out from downtown. Kroger is 2 blocks away for groceries. The unit is big and airy with hardwood floors, high ceilings, crown moldings, porches front and back, and fireplaces in all rooms (non-functioning). Access is via a wide internal staircase at the front and also a steep metal exterior stairway off the back porch that leads to the yard and laneway parking. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch off the 3rd bedroom and the back porch off the kitchen. Modern upgrades include granite counters, halogen lighting, modern appliances, flat screen TVs and awesome showers. The kitchen is reasonably equipped with a breakfast bar, wet bar and a pantry that was useful. Could use more cooking and eating items - more pots, pans, bowls, glasses dishes, salt, pepper. Hall bathroom has a huge shower with jets from every direction. The 2nd has a big jacuzzi tub. There is no dining room in this unit as seen in some listings of this property. The bedrooms are big with top quality furnishings, linens and mattresses. We slept extremely well. There is a big laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer which we found very handy. The folks at Savannah Dreams who manage this and several other properties were friendly and quick to respond although adamant about their rules which was a bit off-putting. Given our group and reason for being in Savannah this was the ideal property for us although we would select the lower unit next time to avoid the stairs after a marathon.

You are correct about the dinning room, there is none, we updated the photos on our own site month ago, but forgot to do it here. The upper has a living room only, the lower a dinning room/LR combo. I`ll update pics in a min. We look forward to hosting you next year downstairs!

Our new home from home. Greatly enjoyed this lavish rental. Everything is well maintained. Home itself is very luxurious, jaccuzi tub, garnite counters, wine humidor, feels like a penthouse suite in a 5 start hotel. Neighbourhood is fine, home next door is for sale, but not realy run down. krogers just a few blocks and everything within walking distance. 2 private parking spots which was great as we met up with some friends. This will be our new home in savannah. Can`t wait to be back.

Stayed here for my 40th birthday. We couldn`t have picked a better spot. Home is located just outside of the historic district and had private parking. The home itself was immaculate, looked like it had just been restored. Wife loved the kitchen, all granite, 5 burner gas stove top, winehumidor... The owners were very friendly and easy to work with, great ameniteis too. Only bad thing was the people upstairs , complained the whole time about us BBQ`ing, not parking correctly, staying up to late ... , next time I probablly would book a singe home as opposed to a condo, if we had a celebration. Savannah is great, people are real friendly, at least the locals are :), . Skip Paula deens and eat at Mrs. Wilkees instead, food is better and portions are much larger. We did the old town trolley which was ok and otherwise just walked. so much to see, can`t wait to be back.
