“Quaint, cozy cabin on the top of the mtn. Beautiful and relaxing”

The cabin was great. Outdoor fireplace a major bonus!! Just as described. Plenty of room, yet totally cozy- great layout. Master suite is awesome- game loft and private patio. Neighbors are close, but both were vacant during our weekend. Beautiful views! Our pup had a blast too!

Response from the manager Thank you so much for your feedback and photo. Your dog is beautiful. This cabin is one of our most beautiful cabins. We look forward to hopefully working with you in the near future.

“Peaceful - Great getaway!”

Great check in process - got the key from the lock box on our own time - came in to lights on and music playing. Clean and beautiful views. I would suggest not arriving after dark the first night because the drive is treacherous! Wonderful stay - beautiful views - quiet, relaxing getaway!

Response from the manager Making your travel and check in as simple as we can is exactly what we want to hear, thank you for the feedback. Just let us know when we can help you visit us again.

“Fabulous Views and a very relaxing time in N. Ga Mountains.”

Overall Blue Sky Cabin rentals provided a very good service for our stay at the Skyline cabin. Assistance with reservations was extremely easy with a very professional and friendly staff. Communication via email and phone made was excellent. Only downside was when we arrived the outdoor fan by the fireplace was inoperable. After two conversations stating that it would be repaired we left with it still not functioning. Would have definitely made it more comfortable. The home itself is beautiful and well maintained with all the luxuries needed for anyone to enjoy. Fantastic, breathtaking views, wonderful wraparound porch, hot tub and great outdoor fireplace. Great cabin for families and newlyweds. We especially loved the accommodations made for pets as our 2 Chocolate Labradors thoroughly enjoyed their stay. One advantage Skyline had over many cabins we have rented is the benefit of cooking with gas (propane stove) instead of electric. Made it easy to create 3 remarkable meals for my wife and I. The location on top of a beautiful mountain in Ellijay is simply wonderful. Like I mentioned breathtaking views, very quiet, we had awesome weather for June in Ga 85/63. Wildlife galore, deer, turkeys and baby turkeys, beaver, fox but unfortunately no black bears on this trip. The one concern for many in the guest book and us was the intriguing and somewhat crazy drive to the top of the mountain. My wife said it rivaled the rides at Six Flags over Ga. Great directions going up made it somewhat easier though we were sure glad it was not raining. Ellijay is a small quaint town in which we drove into to purchase ice as the ice maker in the freezer produces it at a slow pace. Shopping and restaurants are available for you to enjoy. Also a mattress store besides Ingles should be visited by the owners as the master bedrooms bed was not the most comfortable. Both my wife and I would definitely recommend Skyline Cabin Rental as it is a piece of heaven just outside atlanta.

Response from the manager Thanks for sharing your photos with your review, we hope you return to our beautiful mountains soon.

“Beautiful, but way way wayyy overpriced!”

Really enjoyed the stay and it was a beautiful cabin. However, I will say that the price was a extremely steep for that cabin. The price would not have been as bad but the fees and taxes and service charges and cleaning fee and lord knows what all else was crazy. I would love to come back again, but the price would have to come way down as I can stay at a much much larger cabin in Gatlinburg for 4 nights, cheaper than the two nights that I stayed there. That's only my opinion on the price as i do not know what the rates on the other cabins in that area are as this was a spontaneous trip for me and this was the only cabin that i could find in the area with vacancy. You guys may have no trouble renting it, but I at least want to give you my feedback and opinion. Also, I do believe the hot water heater has an element that has went out. The water is just barely warm and is extremely rusty in color so you may want to have someone look at it. Also, the road is extremely hard to get up when it is dry and almost impossible when it's wet and raining and it literally jar you to death. I just had back surgery so that about killed me trying to navigate it being that bumpy and actually tore the exhaust off of my Silverado so that was an unwanted added bonus to the cost. Also had to call several times after booking online to get directions to the cabin. And throw your GPS out, it won't help you here! The lady i spoke with was very nice though. Thank you very much though and hope you take my suggestions into consideration as I would actually refer people and come back often if those things get fixed and the price got adjusted to be more reasonable. The cabin itself is very beautiful inside and has a great deck and a patio from the bedroom. Two other things to suggest tho is a privacy blind on the bedroom patio as there is a cabin right beside it that can see everything from the left side and also a better way to get the hot tub cover off and back on. You can barely do it safely!

Response from the manager We are happy (in a weird sort of way) to read your comments and we do listen to our guest’s concerns. Regarding price and fees, our fees are very much in line with those of other rental companies in the region. With respect to taxes, it’s the government and we can’t help that (we don’t like it either!). With respect to the directions, we e-mail them upon receipt of your guest list and they are very accurate. Sometimes though our e-mails are viewed as spam, or we simply have the wrong e-mail address. And yes, Gobbler’s Knob is a tough road, but worth the drive we think.
