“Central Location”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2015

We loved the location of this property. We would have given 4-5 stars except for the following issues during our stay. Apparently they knew the Wifi router had not been working before our arrival. We complained during our stay but nothing was done. So we went without wifi during our stay. The second problem is the easily tripped power breaker. Because the property is quite large, it uses a lot of lights at night. When we turned on the air conditioners, the total power usage got near to the limit. If you start the dishwasher, it tripped the circuit breaker. The same thing happens if you use the washer. I had to reset the power breaker 2-5 times a night in the dark. This is unacceptable. They should consider replacing all incandescent lights to LED lights to bring down total power usage so it will never trip again.

“Large apartment, lovely view”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2015

We enjoyed our stay here. Great location, lovely view. And the apartment is very big. We stayed with our 2 year old. They provided a lovely clean high chair but the 'cot' turned out to be a travel cot. The extra cost for these items was quite substantial too. Maybe this is normal for Italy but we wouldn't expect to pay anything for these in the UK. The only thing we missed in the apartment was a microwave. The shower was the smallest shower in the world. Oh and the lighting system was something else. If you can work out what each individual switch does you deserve a medal.

Response from the manager Grazie for your Review of our San Lorenzo Art apartment. The location is truly fantastic as you will be 5 minutes from the Duomo and you can enjoy great views of the San Lorenzo Church and annexed Medici Chapel. The fee for our cots and highchairs is connected to the acquisition, storage, maintenance, upkeep, and transportation of these times. We look forward to the possibility of having you in Florence again! Don't forget to like us on Facebook to keep track of updates, new listings, and special offers. Apartments Florence Team

“San Lorenzo Art Apartment”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2015

Perfect for me, fantastic kitchen, complete with grill, slicer, 5 burner stove, oven, dishwasher, if you love to cook, the place is perfect. Mercato Centrale is a 4 minute walk to the right. Plenty of storage for clothing, I used the front bedrooms for my office, I work while I am in Italy. Master bedroom has en-suite bath and is very, very quiet. The master bedroom is deep into the Palazzo. so very removed from the front of the building. Second bath has washer and a dryer.... probably the ONLY dryer in Florence. Perfect location, close to Duomo, Mercato Centrale, Ponte Vecchio, all of Florence is close by on foot. Also, easy address for a cab and cabs are available down the street . Santa Maria Novella train station is an easy 10 minute walk. Living Room is great for entertaining, had a few cocktail parties. Already received my deposit back so I can reveal this fact! WiFi is robust. Apartments Florence is a wonderful Company, honest , direct, capable and caring. Wonderful to work with, easy check-in, great maintenance, always available. Had a problem with the shower, it was addressed in a day, no worries, no effort on my part, one phone call, replaced, done! Unit is on the first floor, so just one direct flight of stairs to the doorway. Love the location!

Response from the manager Grazie mille for your positive review on our San Lorenzo Art Apartment. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed this spacious and elegant first floor apartment. Just steps away from the San Lorenzo market you have all the facilities for great food shopping and great meal coocking in the fully equipped kitchen. Thank you for your kind words about the quality of our Service, it is really important for us to know that our guests are well looked after. Please follow us on our Facebook page and we are looking forward to your next visit. Apartments Florence Team.

“issues with rental, would not stay here agin”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2014

We had challenges from the start, some addressed, some not. Our family held their breath every time we entered the stairwell, bad smell of what we thought was urine. While we didn't have many meals here, but there were no forks or spoons available. Main issue was with the power, which went off over 20 times during our stay. We learned at other rentals in Italy about limits, but this location was overly challenging and we were told ..."we get our power from Russia, so you need to make choices"... So we couldn't run the air in the 3 rooms at the same time, pretty much had to shut everything down to do a load of laundry.... etc. All beds could use a upgrade, tried to use sofa cushions for extra comfort. Not a bad area to stay, we fell in love with Florence and many other areas in Italy, but this was definitely the worst rental in our 3 week trip. Still working to determine the status of my deposit as well.

Response from the manager We thank you for your honest and detailed feedback on our San Lorenzo Art Apartment. Regarding the entrance of the building we have to say that it 's the first time that this issue was reported. After our inspection we have not encountered this problem. As for the kitchen we are pleased to inform you that we know that this issue has been solved and more kitchen items have been added. We would like to apologize for the unfortunate comment made by our staff , said as a flash of humor and with no intention of being offensive. We are sorry for the power inconvenient, but most italian homes have about 3 Kw electricity max power (3000 watt). If you use more than this power at the same time, there is an overload breakdown. Using n.3 AC split at the same time with other electrical appliances, could be the cause of the problem. We asked the owner to subscribe an upgrade (up to 4,5Kw) with the power company. The San Lorenzo area is one of the best and requested area to stay in Florence. It’s between the train station and the Duomo and is centered on the Medici’s old family church of San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo is a very famous and colorful neighbourhood for its daily street market and the new Mercato Centrale: a new large covered marketplace on the first floor where you can relax and taste the gastronomic excellence of Florence. Moreover we remember that this apartment is only 100m (0,60 miles) far from the Duomo. We remain at your disposal should you give us the opportunity to assist you in finding the most suitable accommodation for you on your next stay in Florence. Apartments Florence Team.
