“Monk silver - Overnighter”

Reviewed 10 Dec 2016

A truly lovely place to stay with all amenities you could wish for, an exceptionally nice host and enjoyed our stay.

“Excellent accommodation in beautiful setting”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2016

A lovely autumn, colours abounding in the garden, adjacent Deer Park and through the village. The accommodation had everything needed with lots of space. Good to have both a shower and bath. Kitchen well equipped - dishwasher and washing machine made that area outstanding. The Host was very friendly and helpful.

“Comfortable village base for exploring Exmoor and the Quantocks.”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2014

A very well converted and equipped annexe to the owner's detached house in an attractive village location close to the eastern edge of Exmoor. It is an ideal location for dividing one's time between Exmoor, the Quantocks and the north Somerset coast, with long-distance footpaths passing through the village. The accommodation was ideally fit for our family of four. The kitchen has everything needed to transform local produce, eg Red Ruby Devon beef, into great dishes, for both romantic evenings or family meals. Alternatively, the friendly pub is two minutes walk, providing excellent gastropub-style food. Few restaurants in England, let alone pubs, can offer Muscat de Frontignan, a delicious dessert wine from the Longuedoc. The owner did her utmost to make our week enjoyable, without impinging on our time, and she deserves credit for getting everything right from the start of letting last summer. Every entry in the visitors' book was complimentary, including ours. We enjoyed a very relaxing half-term break.

“Very Nice”

We stayed for a week in Bridlecott at the start of November, very pleased with all aspects. Clean, comfortable & cozy, all mod cons, nice surroundings. Owner was very hospitable and offered to make us cream tea as soon as we arrived! Would definetly recommend and hope to visit again.

“delightful cottage”

Bridlecott is a spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable cottage. A haven of peace to return to at the end of the day. The owner is very friendly and always willing to help. An excellent pub/restaurant is less than 5 mins walk away.

“Better than home from home”

This holiday let is so beautifully appointed you will not want to leave. I cannot praise highly enough the care that has gone into providing everything that one could possibly want. The furnishings are top quality, the kitchen is more than adequately supplied, the area is both beautiful and quiet, and the owner is charming and helpful. It provides an excellent base from which to explore the beauties of Exmoor, the Quantocks, and even further afield. I have just spent two wonderful weeks there, and certainly will be returning. I am unable to fault Bridlecott, and I know you will be too.

“Very enjoyable”

A beautifully presented property with everything you require. Great local pub 2 minutes walk away. Pretty little village location good for walking including a great circular walk from the door of the property. Good location for Exmoor ,Quantocks and seaside. Shelaigh , the owner, is most friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge.

“Great week away!”

Great warm welcome from the owner. Lovely cottage decorated and equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly need for a break in the countryside & near to the sea, located in very quiet village but not far from all local amenities. We'd definitely go again.

“Bridlecott”

Warm welcome from the owner, great little hideaway. We were her first ever guests and we were made very welcome. Any problems owner always on hand. Ideal base for exploring exmoor. We have family there so it was fab for us to have our own little bolthole. The accomodation is good and has been finished to a very good standard. The villagers made us feel welcome and the local pub (only a few yards away) serves fantastic Pimms and food. We loved it so much we are booked to go back.
