Description

The apartment is just 5 minutes walk from the center of Gaiole, where you will find all the services you need. Like restaurants, bars, wineshops, banks, food shop, hairdressers etc.

Gaiole is one of several traditional Chianti villages in the region. Others worth visiting include Radda, Greve and Castelina.

From Gaiole it is just 25 km to Siena and 80 km to Florence .In the Gaiole area alone, there are about 35 vineyards, large and small, many of which offer wine tastings and direct sales.

All around Gaiole you have very good opportunities for treking.

THE APARTMENT HAS BEEN OUR HOME 8 MONTHS A YEAR IN 4 YEARS, SO THE APATMENT IS MUCH MORE THAN AN ORDINARY "RENTING APARTMENT". BEFORE WE HAVE JUST HAD FRIENDS STAYING IN OUR APARTMENT FROM THIS YEAR WE HAVE STARTED RENTING OUT THROUGH TRIPADVISOR"HOLIDAYLETTINGS.

Outdoor eating is very nice in summer. We have a table outside our apartment where you can eat and drink. This table we share with one more apartment. In our diningroom you can open the whole "wall". It is like sitting outdoor - and here you have a fantastic view over Gaiole and the valley.

The apartment is much more than an ordinary rental apartment - more like a real home. You will almost find everything you need in the apartment.
The main living area consists of an open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is a beautiful, old dining table which seats 6 comfortably and the lounge area seats 4 people.
One entire wall in the living area consists of floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which lead out onto a terrace, and can be folded back to create a wonderful light and airy living space in warm weather

'There are 2 bedrooms; The master bedroom which sleeps 2 and a further bedroom which sleeps 4, and has its own small terrace.
There are 2 bathrooms in the apartment.

Outside the apartment we have a table with seats, which we share with another apartments. There is a very nice outside pool in the Borgo. Open from May until September/ October. This depends on the weather. The pool is not heated.
The whole Borgo is nice to just walk around in because it is so unique. Nowhere else will you find a new built Borgo in a very old style - just fantastic.
There is one parkingplace belonging to the apartment in the garage. There are also parking areas outside the Borgo

It seems to us that you love Gaiole and our apartment as much as we do. When we bought the apartment Januari 2008 our daughter and her Italian husband (they live in Italy- too cold in Sweden our daughter says ) helped us to find the very best apartment in the very best village. That is "Borgo Tower" (our apartment) and Gaiole (the village/small town)
