“Space for all!”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2017

Loved the house and how spacious it was - accomodated everyone in our family with 2 master suites and bath. The downstairs unit was separate but worked well for our family. Loved the two balconies, especially the one on top and the view from the bedroom was incredible. Location was awesome. While we were a little disappointed that that were no "sand beaches" close by the area, the Champagne Ponds made up for it as well as the scenery of the ocean and lava flow. Snorkeling at the Champaigne Ponds was incredible. Loved the gated community which made us feel more secure. Overall, we were very pleased with this rental. I recommended they might want blankets as it did cool down nicely one evening. I would certainly rent this location again if I was looking for a quiet, secure location with lots of space, but if you're looking for sandy beaches, I would move to the Kona side.

Response from the manager Aloha! Thank you so much for the feedback and how your stay was. I'll take your advice about putting in more extra blankets. Please think of us again as we have repeat guests and 4 other homes in the area and some of them with their private large aquatic pond/aquarium. Mahalo Nui Loa, Sophia

“Great place for a holiday”

An excellent property, clean and big enough for the whole family or multiple couples. A large balcony where you can laze away the hours and a short walk to the best swimming in the world!! Champagne ponds is amazing.

“great place”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

This house is well stocked to enjoy quiet days for relaxation and snorkeling. The champagne pools and the lava stone beach to the pond ist really just a few min down the street. The gated neighborhood is calm and around 15 min away from the nearest shopping in Pahoa. We spent a week at this place and especially LOVED the snorkeling in the ponds or walks on the nearby lava fields. 2 Families with 4 teenagers - with the separate downstairs two bedroom appt - we had enough space to spread out, gather, or have some quiet time. The wind is your A/C. We often used the rice cooker, the mixer (pina colada), and the oven to bake some cookies and prep our own meals. The dishwasher was not very reliable, even after we pre-rinsed our dishes. Overall the kitchen is well stocked. We loved the little farmers market on Sunday in Pahoa - even in the heavy rain.

Response from the manager Aloha Guest! Thank you for sharing your guys Hawaii experience at our Kapoho Paradise Oceanfront home! I am glad to hear you enjoyed. Mahalo Nui Loa for leaving your feedback and I will share this info with the Owner. And I look forward to hearing from you for your returning visit to the Hawaii! With Warm Aloha, Sophia Sophia A. “Cheers to Kapoho Bay View Home and Champagne Pond!”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2014

We booked this beautiful, spacious five-bedroom house anticipating that family and friends would join us. As it turned out, my husband and I were the only two that could make the trip. However, it still worked for us because the nightly base rate for a house this size in Hawaii is reasonable. In the end the extra room paid off because we had several friends who live in Hawaii visit for the day and two of them spent the night. We only had to pay a small extra fee for them to stay. This house is situated in a quiet neighborhood. From our third-story master bedroom we could look over palm trees and a lava field to see the ocean. We snorkeled in the delightfully warm Champagne Pond everyday and ended our day with a champagne toast to the joy of it all. Although it was very nice just to stroll around the peaceful neighborhood, we could also hike the roads cut into the lava fields out to the shore. The Kapoho Tidepools and Wai'opae Ponds are a one and a half mile drive or walk away with a variety of fish and coral to see. Pahoa, a quaint little town with a personality, is only a 15-20 minute drive away through mini-environments of lava, grasses, papaya groves and a vine-draped forest. There are several good restaurants from which to choose. We were hesitant to stay on the "wet" Hilo side of the big island so booked our second week on the Kona side. It worked out well for us. We enjoyed the contrast of flora and fauna, weather patterns, local flavor and pace of life. Our contact person, Sophia, was always friendly, helpful and informative. So easy to work with. I would recommend her to anyone looking for accommodations in this area. Thanks, Sophia!

“Peaceful with all the comforts of home”

Reviewed 10 Dec 2013

The house was a great find. It was loaded with beach equipment, cookwares, dishwasher, and full size fridge. It had all the comforts of home without all the pains. Close to the hot springs and an epic coral reef dive spot, the location was perfect for outdoor people who enjoy hikes and swims. If you chose to stay indoors tv's, dvd players, and wireless internet can be used throughout the house. All in all it was a great week.

Response from the manager Aloha! Thank you very much for writing a review on our Kapoho Home. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay & the home! :) I look forward to staying in touch! With Warm Aloha, Sophia
