Copper Fern is most definitely the best holiday rental property we have ever stayed in. Molly and Chris have created a place that feels so much like being at home, only better! The property has everything you could possible need - beautifully designed. Home made goodies - granola and jams and supplies of bread, cheese, eggs etc so that you are all set for first mornings breakfast. In fact enough for several breakfasts. The location is peaceful, on the outskirts of Courtenay with a lovely garden visited by many birds, including humming birds on the patio. It would have been very easy to spend our entire time at the property and not visit the local area at all!! It was so relaxing. Just fantastic.

“Cozy and relaxing”

We stayed at Copper Fern House during the Family Day long weekend. It was amazing!!!The house is like a dream house, very bright and everything inside make it very cozy and relaxing.Molly is baking some muffins that I never taste it before in my life.Chris explain us surroundings gave us maps and precious tips.Kids enjoyed the patio which was superb in snow and had fun with Tikka, their friendly dog.Every single detail(organic and healthy food, extremely soft towels, warmy immaculate robe, fresh flowers in bedroom) made this experience unforgettable. In one word was just perfect !

Response from the owner We really enjoyed meeting your lovely family. We are so happy that you enjoyed our guest house and hope to see you again. Chris & Molly

“Cozy Guest House in a beautiful setting!”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2013

I am so grateful I had a chance to stay at Copper Fern Guest House! The owners, Chris and Molly, and the sweetest people and made us feel like family. The house is gorgeous and has all of the necessities of home. The refrigerator was stocked with local goodies, including delicious bread from a local bakery, jam, cheese, coffee, etc. My favorite part was waking up in the morning and eating a delicious breakfast on the patio outside overlooking the garden. It was such a relaxing vacation! The town of Courtenay is so quaint and the people are so friendly. I already can't wait to plan my next visit and get away from city life for a while! Thank you Chris and Molly for such a wonderful experience! I can't wait to return!

“Beautifully scenic & peaceful, with warmth and hospitality”

I was fortunate to stay here this past august, visiting for a friend's wedding. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by two of the warmest, kindest, most generous people. Freshly baked muffins at our doorstep, sliding doors to a patio where you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee and beautiful sunflowers in the lush garden. If you ask me, it is a perfect way to rise and shine! And the perfect spot for some much needed peace. Where you can take a moment to stop and appreciate the simpler things in life. The Copper Fern accommodates a family of 4 looking for adventure in the incredibly scenic outdoors or it is perfect for a couple, looking for a quiet retreat for the weekend. You will love it here! I can't wait to return!

“Perfect wedding weekend oasis!”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2013

I stayed at the Copper Fern last summer during a local friend's wedding weekend. After traveling all the way from Denver, Colorado, it was heaven to arrive late at night to the comfort and rustic luxury of the Copper Fern. Chris and Molly were beyond welcoming and hospitable, not to mention excellent sources of information about local places to see and things to do! We awoke on our first morning to a beautiful selection of local fruit, cheeses, bread and coffee and we loved the DIY style of the "breakfast" part of this B&B;! We loved the local coffee and bread so much that we bought some to carry all the way home with us! Overall, the decor, comfy furnishings, the color scheme, the books, the garden, the forest, and the excellent hosts made for an unforgettably fun and relaxing weekend in Comox. Thank you Chris and Molly for dreaming up the Copper Fern and for sharing it with the rest of us!
