In addition to all the lovely décor and the well equipped kitchen and bathroom, there were extra touches that were especially appreciated. Thanks for the greeting bottle of wine, and chocolates -- that was very nice. The blackout drapes on all the windows were great -- it made it so much easier to catch up on sleep when the rooms could become pitch dark. A great apartment, with excellent management.
Response from the manager Thanks for your review, we try to think of everything that a guest will need during their stay, thanks for noticing !
“Loved the quiet, yet central location of La Royale Du Marché”
La Royale Du Marché was a perfect apartment for my daughter and my Paris vacation. We loved the location! Very quiet, yet centrally located in the most interesting and active part of the city. The apartment is a short walk to a shopping district of interest (thrift stores, high end shopping, kitchen, touristy--anything) and grocery and pharmacy were very nearby. There were more restaurant choices that we could have hoped for. Yet the street is extremely quiet. The whole stay was extremely positive. We hope to stay with Cobblestone again in the future.
Response from the manager Thank you so much. You are right, the neighborhood is great, steps from Rue Montorgueil, a historic market street and many restaurants institutions. A historic and central location walking distance to the Louvre and Palais Royal. You are truly in the heart of Paris. We hope to see you back soon.
“What a wonderful apartment!”
We stayed here for 5 nights in Nov. 2014. What a wonderful apartment - you could not ask for a better location! We walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame. The metro station is a really short walk away. It was a little longer walk but an easy walk to the Rue Montorgueil Market Street where we got groceries. The kitchen is very small but adequate for making breakfast which I did every morning. Loved having a dishwasher! The apartment was very clean and well maintained. We have 2 teenagers, one boy and one girl, so it was very nice to have a pull out bed that pulled out into two beds! And even though we kept the beds out the whole time, there was still room in the living room to sit at the table and eat or relax. We loved the decor and historic feel of the apartment and the building. Our friends in France were impressed with the apartment - both its design and location! The neighborhood felt safe. The only problems we had, was the electricity went out twice, which is beyond the control of the management. Also with 4 people we needed to plan out our showers so the last person didn't have a lukewarm shower! I did not use the washer/dryer combo but it was great to know it was there! We had no problems with the wi-fi. Lauren, who was our greeter was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely use Cobblestone again and recommend them to anyone!
“Family stay in Paris”
I stayed with my wife, son and daughter in July 2014. The sofa bed converts into two separate beds which worked out quite well for my 14 and 15 year old. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The pictures accurately portray its condition. Very easy booking process. I liked the automatic last minute discounts. Our Greeter Lauren did a great job explaining the features of the apartment. We felt very well informed on the apartment, phone, internet, washer/dryer and some extras about the neighborhood. Lauren recommended that we take the metro to Trocadero for some great late afternoon photos. The neighborhood was perfectly fine. I felt safe walking late at night. We easily walked to Notredame and the Louvre. Other attractions were accessible from the metro. Etienne Marcel metro stop is literally a 3 minute walk from the flat. I really cannot complain about anything. The property management team seems to have thought of everything regarding a renters stay. We have rented apartments in various countries and this was certainly one of the easiest and most comfortable stays we have had. Would definitely recommend to friends and if/when we return I would use Cobblestone Paris again.
“We loved being temporary residents in Paris.”
Our experience at the apartment was outstanding. Our host met us at the cafe around the corner and gave us a great orientation to the apartment. We loved the convenience of having a washer and dryer the apartment. The location was perfect and we're now completely sold on the idea of renting apartments in lieu of staying at hotels. Cobblestone made everything easy. We even had a chance to celebrate the first day of summer with the rest of the neighborhood in true French style. We felt like temporary residents rather than merely tourists.
Response from the manager Thank you very much, future guests will find your comments very helpful! You are correct, Renting an apartment offers so many more benefits as compared to a hotel. Though it is very important to choose to rent from a reliable and experienced company like Cobblestone Paris Rentals. - Come back soon : Jennifer & www.CobblestoneParis.com
“This is a beautiful apartment in a great location.”
We stayed 5 nights in the apartment and it felt like home. It's spacious by Paris standards. There is even an a/c that worked really well. We loved the location for its proximity to a wonderful market street as well as the metro. We loved this place so much that we considered becoming squatters! Then we decided that we'd best get back to our real life. We would definitely stay there again.
“An absolute gorgeous apartment, excellent location - a perfect little Parsienne Paradise!”
My husband and I spent 7 nights in Paris and stayed at La Royale Du Marché. It is an absolute gorgeous apartment and the location was perfect! Less than a 10min walk to the Louvre, on the same block as the Etienne Marcel metro stop, and surrounded by many wonderful cafes and restaurants. Right next to Le Halles shopping centre and shops. Mary met us and we checked in and dropped our luggage while the apartment was being cleaned, very accommodating. We had an elevator to get to the 4th floor, the building is very secure, the spiral staircase was beautiful. The aparement itself was styled so beautifully, just like in the pictures online. Very clean, had everything that we needed including a complimentary bottle of wine, a dark chocolate bar, several Paris and France tourism books and even movies. It was a perfect little Parsienne Paradise! HIghly recommended!!
“Great neighbourhood within walking distance to Marais”
The location and amenities were fantastic. We were really happy with everything and lacked for nothing. The apartment is beautifully decorated and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
“Design your perfect Parisian apartment - this is it!”
Stayed here 5 nights over the New Year with my husband and our 2 teenagers. My 17 year old daughter has decided that this is the perfect apartment and plans to live in one decorated just like it someday! It really looks like the charming pictures. More practically, this worked for 4 of us and the sofa bed is actually 2 beds which was awesome for my kids. Kitchen was small (it is Paris), but adequate and came with coffee and sugar etc so having a cup every morning was easy. Additionally, a problem arose with the apartment just before our stay and the management handled it in a way that turned out better for us. The apartment has a washer/drier which is a big bonus, but it didn't work well for 4 people (too small and dries way way too slowly). The location is very convenient so we mostly walked rather than taking the Metro. However, as a mom the neighborhood felt to me a little "on the edge." Just a little.
“What a gem!”
Le Royale du Marche is a wonderful apartment in a great and convenient location. The apartment is spacious, especially by Paris standards, beautifully decorated, and in a lovely quiet building. We were extremely comfortable there and could have stayed for months. The apartment is surrounded by great restaurants and convenient metro stops, and central enough to walk to almost anywhere we wanted to go. We loved our stay here and would choose it over a nice hotel any day. Also, our greeter, Kelly, was extremely sweet; just a wonderful person! Basically, we did not have one "best part" of our stay; it was all great!
