Description
A fantastic use of stone, bleached wood & light contemporary furnishings along with a roof terrace perfect for an alfresco breakfast or wine & cheese as you watch the sun go down make Le Batiment a very special place to stay.
The house is converted from a traditional stone barn & stands in the small, peaceful and very pretty French village of Puymoreau. The village is surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Charente Maritime region, bordered by vibrant sunflower fields.
All the old features of exposed stone walls & original beams have been carefully preserved but the finish is light, airy & contemporary to give a comfortable living space with all modern comforts.

“A delightful property”
A beautifully converted barn with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing break. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals when we decided to eat in and a dishwasher so no washing up if you don't want to. In a peaceful location about a 10 minute drive from the town of St Jean d' Angley and it's amenities.

“stylish accomodation with wonderful views”
We hired this Gite for a week - it's so stylish, with wonderful soft furnishings and painted in F&B hues, yet still keeps all the orignal features of a French Barn - pure luxury. The upstairs terrace has wonderful views across the open fields, getting the sun from lunchtime onwards. The kitchen is very well fitted out with everything you may want including the most fab coffee machine. The main town is a stone throw away and the bakery even closure - unless you want to wait for the bread lady who comes to the village every day - which is so french. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind. The owners live close by and are delightful - always willing to be on hand to offer advice on resturants, places to visit etc.

“Amazing hosts and a truly French experience!”
Brilliant property for: A truly French experience in a friendly rural hamlet Fantastic scenery and so many attractions within easy reach Kind, thoughtful (but in no way intrusive) hosts who provided wonderful recommendations; they listened to our 'brief' and matched our tastes and interests perfectly- this made the holiday really special and we certainly wouldn't have been able to enjoy so many great experiences without their help. Delicious breakfast baskets delivered to our door by our hosts- full of fresh local produce at a very reasonable price. Very smooth booking arrangements and lots of advice at every stage of our planning.
