“The Meadows Home- wow !!!”
Tim, Thank you so much for your help in booking The Meadows Home. I have to say when I was booking the home, I was a little afraid of the pictures I saw on line. The pictures do not do justice to show the beauty of the home and the pool... Wow!!! My in-laws went back home to Poland toady they couldn't stop talking about what a great time they had in Key West and what a wonderful time we had in the house, swimming and drink by the pool. I really hope my family and I can return and visit the home again. Best Wishes, The Zatek Family
“love the hole thing..”
we loved it house was very clean. all you needed to do was go to the store. for food all house hold needs we're there. and then some the pool was so cool.. got the best sun tan ever.. the people that lived around. you was nice to you.. we will come again!!!
We brought my daughter and 3 girlfriends to Key West for a celebration of their High School graduation. The girls had the best vacation of their lives. The beach and Duval Street were only a short bikeride away and yet the house is in a very quiet neighborhood with a hidden treasure in the back. The pool and patio area were a wonderful oasis. My husband and I come to Key West 4-5 times per year and love staying at the Meadows house. I would recommend this place to anyone.
“Could not have asked for anything better!!”
This was our first family trip to Key West. There were certain things we knew we wanted (private pool, off street parking, etc) and The Meadows House had it all plus much more! We absolutely loved the house! Loved the landscaping! Loved the pool! There was every luxury you could imagine in your own home. The place was beautiful and well kept. Would definitely stay there again! Everyone loved it and hated to leave!!
The bed in the master bedroom was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. There are dead rodents in the walls that put off a putrid smell. Usually this happens when they are killed with poison then they crawl into the wall spaces. The coffee pot does not work and that was a bummer since I love drinking coffee in the morning. The pool was fantastic.
“Meadows House: Best Pool, Quiet and Lovely Garden”
Four of us enjoyed everything about the Meadows House. Quiet lane but easy to walk/bike to busier spots. Well-appointed kitchen, modern bathrooms, perfectly remodeled to retain the historic feel. Delightfully arty decor, down to the array of salvaged car mirrors in the outdoor shower. Nice collection of books of actual merit on the shelves. Especially appreciated is the presence of some basic sundries, such as dishwasher soap. The pool, better than photos show: only an aerial could show the surprise of its being an el, one side/leg in sun and by the deck, and one (with charming arched bridge over it) side a secluded lap lane among the semitropical gardens. Magical!
“We all had a fabulous experience!”
The house was well maintained for an older house. We saw one large roach in the kitchen utensil drawer. At night, we heard scratching in the wall. The hot water was plentiful and the house temperature was easy to keep comfortable. Everything was very clean when we arrived, the bathrooms, kitchen, floors and counters were all free of dust and very nice. There was a large variety of books to consume our leisure moments. The pool was wonderful, and the grounds were very well maintained. The location was easy to reach and the Historic Hideways staff was helpful and friendly.
