Polovnik House is a charming 3 bedroom chalet located on the main square of the peaceful riverside village of Srpenica midway between Bovec & Kobarid (circa 10km to each) in the heart of the stunning Soca Valley. The house is beautifully renovated to an excellent standard combining many carefully restored original features with modern comforts and facilities, creating a welcoming atmosphere and retaining the alpine charm of the building. There is a huge range of outdoor activities such as walking and cycling possible from your doorstep as well as a wide range of river pursuits (kayak / rafting access from the village) and mountain sports in the area (skiing at Kanin just ten minutes drive).

“Great Cottage for access to river Soca”

Stayed here for a long weekends Kayaking on the river Soca, the cottage is well located and close to the river access points for Rafting and Kayaking. The house has been finished to a high standard and the kitchen is well equipped. Comfortable beds and lounge for relaxing after a hard day spent outdoors. There is a great little restaurant in the village with good food and this is a short stroll from the house.

This house has been charmingly restored so that it is modern and extremely well equipped inside but sitting in a lovely village with warm and friendly people across the square from the church and it's daily tolling bells.. .Spectacular views all around with quiet walks to the river and adventure sports ,canyonning ,kayaking and rafting close by .There is a restaurant up the lane which has excellent pizza and good reasonable local cuisine .Look for the colorful bread and fish vans which park in the square and sell wonderful homemade bread and fresh fish bi weekly.. I highly recommend a stay at Polovnik House if you are at all interested in outdoor adventure sports summer or winter or if you just want to relax in the shadow of the Alps and enjoy the hospitality and peacefulness of a small village in Slovenia.. ..
