“Kihei condo”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2016

We love this condo. It's been updated but still needs a few repairs. The air conditioning only worked part of the time, the dryer squeaks when it decides it wants to and the ants need to be controlled a bit better.

“A wonderful time...”

Reviewed 18 Dec 2013

This was my fourth time staying at the Royal Mauian. Again it was wonderful. I continue to stay here because the condo units are predictable as to there cleanliness, location, and have an all inclusive kitchen. There are always chairs to take down to the beach and various beach toys. There is only one thing in this unit that needs to be taken care of and that is the drapes and bedspread in the master both need to be cleaned. Someone has spilled wine or other liquid on the drapes on the outside and the bedspread had blood on it. Only other negative was that I arranged for a late check out with Eddie. Seems like that info was not documented and I was locked out of the condo. Thanks to some helpful people who let me used their cell phone I was able to contact the office and talked to Barbara who gave me a new code so I could get back in. She was great. I will be back again. Small things like this will not make a difference in my choice of condos and who I will book with. Aloha

“Best snorkeling and sunsets- wow !!!”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

Royal Mauian #606 was our home for 6 nights during our first trip to Maui in June/July 2013.It was just as advertised in Vrbo.com and we had a great time there. It was a well run high rise that had a prime location for beach front access and views of the sunsets from our patio.Having snorkeled all over the Caribbean we were blown away by the water right in front of our condo. It was so clear and full of coral and fish. We even swam with some turtles. It was centrally located on the island, so we did some driving, but that was not really a problem. The condo was clean and well furnished.Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice kitchen and appliances.Big screen TV. A/C and fans.

“Amazing”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

What an incredible spot this is. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and there is a spectacular view from this unit. Totally private. I would have preferred no carpet. The crew at ali's resorts are helpful and available at any time. The unit was well-equipped with any amenity you would need. Stock up on groceries because once you get there, you won't want to leave. You'll be cooking up on the rooftop every night. Wish we could have stayed longer.

“Beautifully decorated and very high quality”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2013

This unit was outfitted with top of the line items. We rented three units on the 6th floor for our stay and this was by far the best. It was the only unit with air conditioning, which was very nice on muggy nights. The ceiling fans were top of the line, as well as the beds and bedding. Even the patio furniture was very high quality, much nicer than the other units. It is a beautiful unit and I will definitely stay here again!

“Unit 606 - Royal Mauian”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2012

Our stay in this unit was very nice, great views, great location, friendly people and the management company was very good. There are just a couple of things that I feel that needs to be addressed immediately and they are: Master Bedroom shower door needs to be sealed properly so that the water does not leak out and onto the floor, two burners on the stove are not heating up properly and the carpets are really dirty, they should get rid of the carpet and put in tiles.

“Cozy little place - great location and beautiful view!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2012

We loved this property - great location between two beautiful beaches (Kamaole 1 & 2). Beaches are perfect for swimming and sunning with beautiful clean sand and shallow entry. Many beach activities right there - snorkelling in front of the property (we saw huge sea turtles every day); stand up paddling - you can rent a sup board across the street and walk it across; and surfing at nearby Cove Park (just south). The unit was very comfortable with nice furnishings/art but I have to admit it felt a bit tight for our family of 4 (I couldn't help but think that a different furniture layout might have helped) - not a big deal as we were rarely in the unit and when we were we were on the beautiful lanai. We also spent many very pleasant evenings cooking and dining on the rooftop patio which is one of the huge bonuses of this property. There were 4 Bbq's and many tables - it was never too busy and always a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner, socialize and watch the sunset. Across the street there are shopping plazas with great food choices (incl. ice cream and shave ice), rental shops for gear (we like auntie's Snorkel), and clothing/souvenirs. Hawaiian Moon Natural Foods was handy (a bit pricey) for produce or breads and had a great take-out salad bar. The unit has everything you need - fully stocked kitchen (sharp knives, bakeware, blender, rice cooker, tons of dishes and utensils) and even some things for the beach (4 small beach chairs, 1 boogie board, small snorkels, cooler). Beach chairs were handy but if you are planning to spend a lot of time at the beach it might be worth picking up a more comfortable chair (Costco had Tommy Bahama folding chair for $33). Only thing missing was an iPod docking station (there was a CD Player & Radio). Beds very comfortable. The unit has a/C (some don't) which was a very nice option. Very happy with staff and service of ali'i Resorts -wouldn't hesitate to book through them again! Overall great place with good value!

“Beautiful scenery”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2012

We spent two weeks at the Royal Mauian unit 606. The unit is well situated facing the ocean with a lovely view of the beach. Four were in our party and we found everything we needed in the oondo. It was clean and got cleaned by the staff after a week which was nice. There are shops nearby and it's easy to drive around. You can snorkel in front of the building and the turtles come a couple times a day which is fun to watch. My only complaint would be that the air conditioner was not strong enough to keep the furthest bedroom cool which made sleeping difficult in that room. Also would have been nice if someone could have turned the air conditioner on before we arrived - it was an oven when we got there. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay there again especially if something was done about the air conditioner.
