“Rustic Charm”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2013

A rustic cabin with a great location. The outdoor space is the best part; the river is beautiful! The kitchen could use some updating as the appliances are a little worn out, but otherwise the space was quite charming. The cabin shares a driveway with the neighboring rental so parking can be an issue. The staff at Yellow Rose Realty were good to work with.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! It sounds like your stay with us was great and we hope that you stay with us again sometime in the near future. -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Amazing Cabin!”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2013

My family rented this cabin through Yellow Rose Realty. They have very well kept cabins and we have never been disappointed. This cabin was by far our favorite. It was easily accessible from Bryson City,no rugged mountain roads. When you arrive at the cabin you instantly know that the pictures do not foot justice. The creek is absolutely breath taking in person! The cabin has plenty of space with a huge deck with seating for everyone. The fire pit was an excellent place to unwind after a long day. This cabin is also pet friendly. It was relaxing to not have to worry about how the pet was doing at home. Our little dog really enjoyed her stay. She loved getting rocked in the swing while she fell asleep listening to the creek. Incredible cabin, we plan to return :)

Response from the manager Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and tell others about how great how great your stay was in this cabin! We are glad to hear that your family enjoyed all that the cabin had to offer. We hope to see you again soon! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Breathtaking”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2013

We arrived at dusk so the view was a bit obscured and we were tired. Next morning I looked out the kitchen window and could not believe my eyes. Such a beautiful view. I've been to a lot of places even overseas but this just took my breath away. The cabin itself is very well kept and spacious. Loved the deck right by the creek. We had a bonfire and roasted marsh mellows. Loved the wooden swing. And we were close to Cherokee and Bryson City itself. There could have been more toilet paper left out. We could see it in the closet but the closet was locked. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths. I think if it were my cabin, I might look into upgrading the window air conditioners to more powerful ones. That would help with moisture control I would think. Although there was a musty smell I didn't see any mold. So being next to the water must contribute to that. But all in all I loved the cabin. If it weren't next to the creek though, I don't think I'd like it as much. Good value. You get a lot for the money. I would go back.

Response from the manager Wow! It is awesome to hear that you found the view from your cabin so enjoyable, even compared to your overseas trips! We will relay you concerns about the air conditioners over to the owner. Thank you for taking the time to tell us and others about your stay in the mountains, and we hope we do see you again soon! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Great Fishing Group Lodge”

Reviewed 9 May 2013

Six men on a trout fishing excursion really enjoyed the Larky Creek Lodge. Perfect accomodations for the guys to fish in the creek, head out to other trout waters, enjoy Nantahala Brewing Company beverages and eat our favorite meals together. The only drawback was one that we were told not to complain about and that was insects in the house. We killed a spider that was nearly the size of a tarantula and had trouble sleeping for fear of its family attacking. Still a great time!

Response from the manager Tom, We are glad you and your friends had a great fishing trip and we are glad that we could could find you a perfect place to stay. Sorry about the spider, unfortunately nature finds its way indoors too often. Next time you guys are up you should try out another great fishing cabin called Nantahala River Retreat, its located right on the awesome fishing of the Upper Nantahala River!
