“Serene and Peaceful”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2013

Our week was wonderful! It is so quiet, just the wind in the trees, birds singing, and the brook. Could not have asked for a nicer place to see fall colors. Would highly recommend staying here.

Response from the manager Great! We are glad to hear that your week spent here was wonderful, and yes the fall colors were just perfect during your stay. Thank you for the review and recommendation and we hope to see you again sometime soon! - The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Exceeded Expectations”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

the pictures did not do this justice. Amazing view from the porch overlooking the creek. The interior was more than I imagined and the bed was absolutely comfortable. Cannot wait for my return visit in December.I like the fact that when I did have a question, I was able to call and speak with someone immediately.that type of customer service is what will bring me back to trout run from Michigan.

Response from the manager Wow! Michigan is a long way from Trout Run, but it is great to hear that you really enjoyed you stay here and that you are returning so soon! We are glad that our team was able to assist you when you needed it and that you were pleased with your entire experience. Thank you for taking the time to tell others about your stay! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Nice mountain getaway with roadside creek.”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2013

The staff @ Yellow Rose were great! They had excellent customer service and were always very friendly. The property was clean and very nice. The location was great. It was not secluded but did have privacy. There was creek side access however, none of the details about the property mentioned that the creek was roadside. Great fire pit area and a porch perfect for meals, reading or just relaxing - all to tune of a rushing creek. You really can't get much better than that! Kitchen was very usable and we appreciated having a dishwasher. Laundry room was great too! We can't complain about much of anything. The outside lights did not work and the grilling area lights only worked occasionally but other than that our stay was great. Directions for using outside lights should be labeled for guests.

Response from the manager We are glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay and that everything went smoothly. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and tel others about your stay, we hope that you will stay with us again in the future. -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“best get away ever”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2013

Best vacation ever. Nice homey quiet cabin. It was great my son loved the fact he could fish in the backyard. My daughter was estatic to take the dogs with us on vacation. I was excited to go tubing down the river. Most importantly dad was glad it was only couple hours from atlanta and everyone was happy with a great price. Loved the lanscape, only complaint was we wished the grass was cut. Loved the fact away from all phones and electronics. Peaceful vacation we needed for family.

Response from the manager Great! We are glad to hear that your family had a great time in the mountains and the cabin that you chose was perfect except for the grass. Sorry about the grass, all this rain has made it even harder to keep up with all of these cabins! Thank you for taking the time to tell others about your stay and we hope you make the trip up from Atlanta again sometime soon! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“A relaxing stay in the mountains.”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2013

The house was great, location was a little further out from town than I had hoped but it worked out. The property was beautiful, loved the firepit! Our 5 yr old grandson really enjoyed roasting "marshyfellows" at night! Couldn't have asked for a better, more peaceful stay. The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather, rained the last 3 days constantly!

Response from the manager We are glad to hear that you had a great time with your grandson! Sorry about the rain...but hopefully you can come stay again sometime soon and the weather will be better. Thanks for taking the time to post a review! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Fun at Trout Run”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2013

Trout Run was a great choice for our 6 day vacation in the Smokies. 15-20min on a slow speed curvy road to get from there to Bryson City downtown area- where there are plenty of restaurants and shops ( our favorite was The Filling Station). Trout Run is an older home, but very clean and well maintained. There is no internet or cell phone service at the cabin, But there is satellite TV. And laundry- loved being able to pack less and wash as needed. The property management is generous with their starter paper products- I took my own paper towels and TP and could have lived without. The property has just about all the kitchen appliances/ gear that you need, including crockpot and coffee maker. Only thing I missed was a waffle iron- which is not a necessity. We generally went exploring during the day and came home to ready crock pot meals every day. Our kids had a blast playing in the trout stream every afternoon/evening. We bought a inner tube float and they rafted down for over an hour each night. Followed by campfires with s'mores and catching lightning bugs- hard to beat. We hiked the Deep Creek trails one day- highly recommend. Several waterfalls close to the parking lot so don't have to go far if not physically able. While there we saw lots of people tubing, so went back and did that the following day- $20 gave our family of 5 their most favorite activity of the week. We also enjoyed gem mining at Sheffield Mines ( get at least one salted bucket for your kids), rafting the Nantahala with NOC ( don't recommend doing the train ride/ rapid transit part- kids found the train ride to be a very tedious 2 hours and not worth the added cost) and watching the Cherokee outdoor drama. Overall a very enjoyable vacation. Least favorite thing- the bridge driveway entering into the property. One car wide with a 8 foot drop on either side and no guardrails. Big sigh of relief when we drove safely over our last time out. Can't imagine using it during cold/icy weather.

Response from the manager Wow! It sounds like you guys had a great time on your mountain vacation! We are glad that we could be a part of your family's vacation and that Trout Run was a great cabin for you! Sorry about the bridge though, it can seem like a task if you are in a large vehicle, but it is stable. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we are glad to hear that your family had an awesome time. We hope to see you again on another vacation in the future! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty

“Fun Filled Family Vacation Memories”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2013

Our family loved our stay at Trout Run. The house was very nice and had all the essentials necessary to make this your mountain retreat. The location's natural beauty was awesome. We enjoyed the stream, fire pit area and the porch. They were our favorite gathering areas. We did not catch any fish but enjoyed playing in the stream. The remote location made wifi unavailable so we did not have the distractions of the city. The cabin does have satellite dish TV and phone. Plus other conveniences like washer and dryer. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.

Response from the manager We are glad to hear that you wear able to beauty of nature and not be distracted by everyday technology. The fish can be sneaky and hard to catch sometimes, you might try getting a guide to show you the secrets next time. We hope to see you guys again soon and thanks for telling your friends! -The Team at Yellow Rose Realty
