I've been staying at your properties for years now and have always had great experiences. Thank you Pioneer Ridge!!!
Response from the manager Greetings, Thank you for taking the time to review the Saddle Creek Townhomes. We are so happy to hear you were able to appreciate the properties during your stay with us. We look forward to host you again in Steamboat Springs at Pioneer Ridge. Sincerely, Ryan Fleming Director of Guest Services
“Probably better in winter..”
I have used Pioneer Ridge for years, to rent various properties. This is the first that I have asked to be relocated. It was incredibly hot and even with fans and the doors and windows wide open, at 1am, it was still 84 degrees inside. It was 73 outside by then! There was little air flow and the unit sits right on a busy street, so there was a LOT of traffic noise all night, with everything open. Probably is more quiet and cozy in the winter, with things closed up. The unit was nicely decorated and in generally good shape, albeit not as nice as I am used to with Pioneer Ridge.
Response from the manager Greetings Teffie_Travels, Thanks for taking the time to review the Saddle Creek Townhomes. We truly appreciate your repeat visits to our vacation rentals in Steamboat Springs. We are so sorry to read that the summer weather impacted the property to the point of discomfort. It can be a challenge as most properties do not feature any air conditioning. We do have some that do. We look forward to host you again. Sincerely, Ryan Fleming Director of Guest Relations
“Wonderful Steamboat Experience with Pioneer Ridge!”
My boyfriend and I, along with another couple, spent 5 nights in the Saddle Creek Townhome- Sc745 and absolutely loved it! We got into Steamboat very late and security was incredibly helpful getting us The facility was very clean, beds were comfortable, it was plenty big, and very relaxing! The sheets in the master bedroom were a little scratchy and the pillows were firm, but that could just be a dislike due to my preference. We were minutes from the main areas in Steamboat, which was a major plus! It snowed 4 of the 5 days we were there, so having the attached garage was a blessing! It was also nice to come home and relax in the private hot tub with a view of the mountains! I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again in the future!
Staff were friendly and helpful. The home was comfortable and homey. Location was the best being right on the mountain with easy access to many places and sites. The hot tub was the best part to sit in with the snow falling all around.
I have submitted already the written review and mailed it back in at least 2 weeks earlier. I believe in that review I wrote that the unit was a bit "dated" in the furnishings. Scuff marks were on the walls in a few places. The TV in the upstairs bedroom had no remote control and was tiny. The queen size bed in the upstairs room was horribly jello like, everytime one of us moved the whole bed shook. Very uncomfortable to say the least. The hot tub was very nice. We enjoyed the quiet of the unit. I'd prefer a different unit in the future.
Response from the manager Prior to the start of the 2011/2012 Winter Ski Season new mattress and box springs on both queen beds were replaced. Additionally, at the same time, a new Flat Screen TV was installed in the Living Room area. Thank you for the feedback.
I wanted to surprise my wife and kids with a Condo with a private hot tub that we could spread out in and enjoy a fall night in Steam Boat...The Condo was ok, but felt old and musty... The most disapointing thing was that the hotub and the jetted tub in the bathroom did not work!! This was the main reason we selected this unit. My family was so upset we left after 5 minutes and stayed at the Sheraton. Mark in reservations took ownership and offered a refund, but it was a Horrible start to the weekend.
“Very Relaxing, but Disappointed”
This stay in Steamboat was my husband's and mine 10-year anniversary. It was literally the first time in seven years that we have been away from our children overnight. We greatly enjoyed our time in Steamboat, and were able to relax and regenerate. We found the staff helpful and friendly. The hot tub water was clean and hot - totally ready to go! The home was very clean, and we were able to easily find the home's amenities. Now, for the complaints - coming from someone who hasn't taken an adult vacation in seven years, and was just expecting more... The master bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The staff did provide extra comforters to put under the sheet; however, it did little to alleviate the hardness or dips of the mattress. When one of the guests to my home complained of an uncomfortable mattress, I immediately purchased a mattress pad. As a paying guest in your home, I would have expected the same response which I showed my own guests. In addition, one of the couches was broken, which forced us to sit on one couch. Also, the television was unclear, and so small it was difficult to see definition. I stayed at this same condo eleven years ago, and I do believe that the furniture has not changed. If I could be assured that the televisions and mattresses were updated and comfortable, I would most certainly stay with Pioneer Ridge again; however, without that certainty, I will seek other lodging options next time we go to Steamboat and I will not recommend Pioneer Ridge to friends and family.
