“Great Place”

Stay was great. Close to the beach. We had two negatives: 1) There is no internet and limited cell services. 2) Gigantic roaches appeared half way through the week. :| I am sure the bugs are gone now.

“Wonderful Extended Family Vacation”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2010

After having to bail out of our original plans to go on a Pensacola area beach vacation, we found Dancing Dolphin at the last minute and were very pleased. We had 18 people and it slept everyone comfortably. Wonderful porch with seating for all. Our only complaint was that the dining tables did not accomodate all of us at once (the meal is the a very important part of this family), but we made do. For a house that sleeps that many, it seems like there would be more dining room seating and more seating in the family room, but all and all, we had a great time and were not bothered by anything. Walk to the beach was no big deal and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The rental company was great with the few broken items we had to call about (sliding glass door and lights by the pool). Would highly recommend for the family not looking for complete luxury, but looking for a well-priced and well equipped large cottage.

“It was ok.”

We had cockroaches. When I called I was told they were Palmetto Bugs. Either way, we had them. The bedroom on the 2nd floor, the only one NOT located ocean side, made a horrible sound when flushed. It sounded like a scream. The bedding (bed skirts and such) are torn and tattered. It really wasn't clean when we got in. The bedding was certainly not cleaned. This is the 2nd time we stayed there and I'm certain we won't stay at that house again. Thank you, Cindi Bills

“Overall very good.”

The only negative is that the house is not very well insulated from noise from one floor to the other. Anything noise made on the 3rd floor is heard on the 1st and 2nd floors. Even walking around echoes.

“Great Beach Vacation!”

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Dancing Dolphin. The house is great and the beach is always wonderful! We all had a great week!

“An awesome week!!”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2009

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children loved this beach house. It was very spacious living quarters with enough bedrooms for us all plus plenty of bathrooms. Grandparents loved the covered deck to relax on. We all enjoyed the pool as well as the short walk to the beach with our own private boardwalk which was a big plus. Very quiet and secluded house--we saw nor heard others. Lots of steps. We'd love to come back another year.

“Bullock;s Vacation 2009”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2009

We enjoyed the home very much. The house was just a short walk to the beach via a boardwalk with no roads to cross over. A little tough to find at first but once we found the home, we were good. The pool was a perfect size for our family and the house was well kept.

“Fun family vacation by the sea...”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2009

We spent a week at the Dancing Dolphin and had a blast! The house was very centrally located- close to stores, aquarium - yet secluded on a private road with a lot of trees. It was very spacious and airy and very convenient to the beach - which was just steps away down a private boardwalk. Bedrooms and decks were huge, and the private pool was an added bonus! The only negatives were: The floor was very dirty and the cable TV was notworking properly when we checked in - Shorewood was very prompt and had someone out the next day to fix both. There is a large condominium complex next door to the house which was mostly shielded from view by the trees and vegetation - though I would assume that during the high season, there would probably be much more noise coming from it. Beach was very clean but be warned if you have any mobility issues, the boardwalk at this property has about 20 steps up and then down the other side of the dune. Our children (ages 6,3,1) had a blast celebrating their birthdays here, playing pool in the downstairs game room, beachcombing, swimming, building sand castles and especially loved that the Lost Treasure miniature golf and bumper boats are literally across the street. Would definitely recommend this home for families with kids!

“A dream family vacation”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2009

We were a family of 16 who just wanted to relax enjoy the beach and have a pool to swim in... There was space to be alone and space to enjoy one anothers company.... The house is very well taken care of and we hope to return there sometime soon. It is just difficult to get everyone's schedule for vacation at the same time with the grandchildren growing older...
