“Great stay at Twin Oaks Villas 179”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2010

Check-in was super quick & easy, office staff were friendly and very helpful. The condo was a perfect size for my party of 4 for a 3 night stay. It was adequately clean upon arrival. The decor was above average. The appliances, however, are extremely outdated and as a result, the condo would probably not be suitable for a stay that is longer than 3 nights or more than 2 couples. The washer and drier are both very small and the washer shook violently with only two towels and a pair of jeans in it. We had to stop the cycle shift the items around numerous times as a result. The unit also does not have wireless internet, which might be considered a plus for some. Besides that, we were very satisfied with the unit.

“Nice place, nice price”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2010

Our cross country travel plans got messed up so with a week before our vacation we scrambled to find something within a 4 hour drive of our home. Hhvr had a good selection of rentals in our price range. My interactions with the staff on the phone before and during our stay were great. Check in was quick and painless and everyone in the office was very helpful. The condo was very nice. Looks like they were built in the 70s or 80s but this unit was tastefully updated within the past 2-3 years. The view of the golf course was nice and there was a huge tree right out back that provided a lot of shade. Maintenance was good, trash was picked up a few times during the week. The bedrooms upstairs were huge. Lots of closet space for storage. We found the beds to be comfy. Kitchen had everything you might need to prepare meals for your family all week including pots, pans, cookie sheets, and pyrex dishes. Appliances included a dishwasher, clothes washer and clothes dryer so no worry of dirty dishes or clothes. There is a coal grill on one of the porches. Note that there is no internet access supplied by this unit but access is available at many shops/restaurants in the area or you may be able to pick up a signal near the unit. The location is central to most points inside Sea Pines. Bike path is right across the street and we were able to quickly bike to Harbour Town as it is less than 1.5 miles. Also about 2 miles to the beach access which is doable on bikes as well. Pool is right across the parking lot. It was well maintained. Our only complaints were were only an issue because we have an 11 month old that is a light sleeper - the floors upstairs were very squeaky and running the water in tubs and showers was very loud. But overall a very relaxing place to serve as home-base for a Hilton Head trip.

“Tranquil and Quiet”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2008

We enjoyed the quiet and tranquility of this condo. The location was near a lagoon off a golf course. The swimming pool was just across the road and never was noisy. The living room furniture was attractive and comfortable. The recliners were especially comfortable. The kitchen was newly decorated and had everything we needed. Only one complaint and that was the King size bed in the master did not have a good mattress.

Response from the manager Phyllis, thanks so much for your review. This villa is situated with a great view of the HarbourTown Golf Links 10th fairway and a gorgeous old live oak tree. In winter 2007 the villa was completely updated including mattresses. Unfortunately a mattress is a very subjective thing. Some people prefer a firm mattress while others want a softer mattress feel. I guess it depends upon which type we are used to sleeping. I'm glad you liked everything else. I hope to welcome you back again soon. We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to improve our service to future guests.

“Hilton Head Paradise”

Reviewed 23 May 2008

Great place to stay in Hilton Head. Large rooms and a beautiful view of the 10th fairway of the Sea Pines golf course. Only negative is the lack of internet access (which may be an advantage to some who wish to completely escape work).
