“A wonderful place to stay in Venice”
You cannot beat the location - views over the accademia bridge and the Grand Canal in both directions. It was spacious enough for my two young children to spread out and play on the wooden floors without getting in our way and it was very clean, with all the mod cons you need when staying with children: washing machine, iron, microwave etc. It's really well situated too - just a 10 minute or so walk to St Marks in one direction, Campo San Margherita in another direction and the Rialto in another direction. Quite expensive, but worth it. What a great find.
“Could not have been better!”
Apartment fantastic, views fantastic, service from agency fantastic. We stayed 5 nights, cooked 3 nights in the rental apartment which could have been problematic since my husband is a professional chef - - however he found everything he needed to make unforgettable meals. The agency was so helpful with ordering taxis and directing us to local bakeries, etc. we felt completely at home. The washing machine was very much appreciated since we have 2 young boys. Everyone had enough space to really enjoy being 'at home' when we weren't out conquering Venice. The apartment was the cleanest rental we have ever experienced.
Response from the manager What a lovely review! it was a pleasure to have been of service. Hoping very much that we see you again soon and a ‘Buon Natale’ to you all from us all in the team! Arrivederci Filippo, Views on Venice
“Fantastic Canal View apartment”
Spacious apartment with fantastic canal views, excellent location to explore the city's main attractions. Would highly recommend to family and friends staying in Venice.
“Unforgettable Stay Overlooking Grand Canal”
My husband and I stayed at Ca' Vidal for two weeks for our wedding anniversary and it was a delightful, memorable holiday. The apartment is very beautiful with wood floors and wood ceiligs and simple furnishings. We wanted an apartment that did not have lots of clutter--just clean and simple. Ca'Vidal is on the top floor so there is a wonderful view of the Grand Canal facing the academia bridge. We enjoyed watching people coming and going below. Since we were up so high, it was never noisy. This apartment is in fantastic condition. It is spacious with a great deal of natural light, including skylights. It's near the Dorsoduro area, a sestiere we love to wander around in, but it's also in front of the accademia vaporetto stop so it's easy to hop on and go anywhere quickly. The Views on Venice staff are very professional and thoughtful. I'd communicated with them months in advance, and they answered each email with my questions promptly and completely. We were met at the apartment and given useful information regarding shops and restaurants in the area and anything else we cared to know. We will be going to Venice every two years because my work takes me to the Biennale, and we plan to use Views on Venice each time. We highly recommend them!
Response from the manager Thank you Susan! – I’m so pleased everything went well and congratulations from us all on your wedding anniversary! With all our best wishes until your next visit – we look forward to seeing you again! A presto Filippo, Views on Venice
“Excellent location for seeing La Serenissima”
We had a wonderful week in Ca'Vidal for our first visit to Venice. The location is outstanding for access to all primary sights/sites of the city. The lift to the apartment, which is right at the top of the building, was a WONDERFUL luxury. For our group of very senior women, it was an absolute necessity which we really appreciated. The view over the Canal was always interesting, from early morning to night. Be aware, though, that the Accademia vaporetto stop just across the canal is very busy, and the vaporetti, which can be pretty noisy, stop there through the night. Also, if windows are open at night, you can hear the people on the Accademia Bridge and the street musicians in the campo. So, if noise is a problem for you, close the windows at night. We would love to go back to La Serenissima (aka Venice), there is so much to see. We will be using Views on Venice as our first stop to look for a place to stay.
“Spacious apartment in an excellent position.”
A delightful, slightly unusual apartment in an excellent location. The living/dining/kitchen area is very large and the view to the Grand Canal and adjacent Accademia Bridge is impressive. The apartment in on the third floor of an office block (with a lift) so you are virtually on your own at night and at weekends. In addition to the main entrance, it is possible to exit (but not re-enter) via a delightful small garden and walk directly on to the bridge. The two bedrooms are fine and the bathrooms modern. The kitchen might not be ideal for a major cooking experience but is certainly adequate for most purposes. The electrical/electronic equipment is of a good standard. The exposed beams (quite low in places) that are a charming feature of the apartment mean that walking around in the dark is not recommended! Other than that, there are no real downsides to this property.
