“Definitely the way to stay in Rome!”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2014

We just loved the apartment and the excellent location. We were met on time at check-in by a very friendly representative who explained how everything worked and all of the local favorites, including the grocery store within one block for basic supplies. The apartment was lovely, very clean and with ample sheets, towels and blankets. Our family was able to spread out and really enjoy our down time relaxing in the well-appointed living room. Our kids became very comfortable getting to know the neighborhood and the ease of access to the apartment. When they got bushed from the sight-seeing, we cooked them a dinner in the kitchen and then left them there when we went to some of Rome's finest. The representative gave us several very good restaurant recommendations all within walking distance, including Nino (almost no tourists) and Osteria Margutta. Everything is close. The photos are beautiful. The apartment is even nicer.

Response from the manager Thanks Peter, great to see how much your family and your kids enjoyed the apartment and the area. I agree Nino and Osteria Margutta are a must-go! :) Francesca & Team

Lovely apartment. The location was perfect. Within 5 minutes of the Spanish Steps and the best gelato in Italy. Very comfortable. Close to taxis.

Response from the manager Thanks a lot for your positive feedback and appreciation! best Francesca

“Wedding in rome - what an experience”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

From the first moment of contact with The Key to Italy for accomodation for two large apts in the centre of Rome it was a pleasure. With constant emails from them until they got everything perfect - what a lovely person we were dealing with. Both apts were in a perfect location. The Medici which I stayed in with 5 other members of my family and a 4 week old baby was lovely and clean and bright, perfect for our stay, there were workmen working in apt on floor below us and they were so friendly and nice. The taxi which we booked through the apt was perfect for our trip back to airport and very good value and again such a nice driver. Overall I would say everything was perfect. A few little things wrong that could be avoided in future would be dishwasher not working and two chairs were not suitable to use - we knew about one but had a bad fall when the leg broke on the other - but not hurt - we did report it and I am sure its now all fixed up. Also there was a piece of clothing left hanging in one of the rooms belong to someone else. All very small problems and I would for sure go back again especially for the people we were dealing with and the location. Bernie from Ireland

Response from the manager thanks Bernie for all your suggestions, we are taking care of your feedbacks. I'm happy to see you've enjpyed your wedding in Rome. looking forward to see you soon again. best. Tiziana, The Key to Italy

“Positon, Position, Position”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

This is one great apartment in a location that can't be beaten. Enormous rooms, spacious layout, antique furniture which happens to be comfortable at the same time, excellent beds and blissfully quiet. Wonderful for a family and only seconds to shops and restaurants. The only problem we had (husband had) is that the TV had no English channels for news, only local stations. However, I can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely apartment and will stay there again when I am lucky enough to go back to Rome.

Response from the manager Thanks Trish and nice pictures of Spanish Steps! Tiziana

“Bella Roma !”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2012

Great apartment in a very central location, just around the corner from Spanish Steps. Well equipped and very spacious for our family of 6 adults. Absolutely no problems on arrival, we just called the number we were given and a member of staff was there to greet us and show us around. Would use Key to Italy again if we are ever lucky enough to return

Response from the manager thanks Pauline. we are looking forward to have you back in Italy very soon :) ciao Tiziana, The Key to Italy

Very nice accommodations. Great location. 2nd time to Rome and the location helped make the visit a great experience. Very close to the subway at the Spanish Steps. Lots of good food nearby. Major taxi/bus hub for travel to/from airport.

Response from the manager thanks, I agree...super location and great place! :)

“Apartment Medici - Spanish Steps - Rome”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2012

My family ( 4 adults) recently (5/2012) for five nights. Giovanni and his associates at "The Key to Italy" were very helpful in setting things up. They had a car waiting for us at FCO that was much better then a taxi. The apartment wasjust as it was billed. The location was great! You could walk to most sights or a cab to the Colesseum area (about 6 Euros). It's a second floor apartment (3rd fl in USa). No elevator. The Wi-Fi was robust. Nice period furniture and tall ceilings. A little early morning Rome city noise but not bad. The last 3 days there was some renovation going on in the unit below. We got used to the hammering and it was over when we returned late afternoon. This would have been a 5 star rating except for the hammering. I'm sure it was a one in a thousand long shot! All in all a very nice apartment in a great location. I would work with them again. Ciao!

Response from the manager Thanks Clark for the nice review and pictures. Great to hear everything went ok. Sorry to hear about the hammering in the unit below, it's over now, it was an unfortunate coincidence but there was not much we could do about it. All the best Giovanni

“Superb location”

Reviewed 10 May 2012

I think it is one of the most central locations in Rome. The apartment is spacious and as a family we much preferred staying in the apartment than in separate rooms in a hotel. The only drawback is That there is no lift, it is only two flight of stairs though so not too bad. The interior is a bit dated but still makes good value for money.

Response from the manager thanks Panos! I hope to see you soon again. best Giovanni
