“Exactly what was represented!”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2014

This was my first international apartment/holiday home rental and I was relieved to find what I rented was exactly what was represented online. It was perfectly located for touring Rome. We were a fairly large group of extened family traveling together and it was so much better for us than a hotel because we could cook meals together or sample italian wine while relaxing on the roof top deck, or staying up late and laugh about old stories...or new ones from our day. We had plenty of modern bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms and room for everyone to spread out and have there own space too. The only thing less than perfect was the beautiful sleek polished stone staircase, A bit slippery, just tread carefully.

“Location!”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2013

Very spacious apartment with a wonderful outdoor terrace on the roof! Great place to come home to after site seeing all day. We were able to walk everywhere from our location. We had a great week in Rome!

Response from the manager Thanks John, this is most probably one of the most beautiful apartment in Rome! Francesca

“Wonderful accommodations in a wonderful city!”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2013

My husband and I, our four children (ages 14, 12, 10, & 8), and my parents stayed at this wonderful apartment. It was perfect for 8 people. It gave us lots of space which I know is hard to come by in a big city. And when you are traveling with a large number, it is nice for people to have their own space. This apartment is a unit all its own. You don't have to walk through a lobby and wait for an elevator. You walk down a quaint side street, up to the front door, and into a lovely three story apartment. The terrace on the roof was one of our favorite spots. It is a great place to hang out after a long day of site seeing. You don't have to walk far to be right there with all the crowds, but once you walk back to the apartment it is very quiet and charming. Grocery shopping, the pharmacy, restaurants, are just down the street. And, the best gelato place, La Palma, is a 5 minute walking. They have 150 different flavors. Key to Italy was a great resource for other contacts: a car and driver to pick us up from the airport, a tour company to use, and more. We had just a couple of issues: (1) the internet wasn't working during our visit. I contacted Key to Italy and they promptly sent someone over to repair it. They worked on the first WiFi box, then replaced it with a new one. But, it still didn't work. My husband did need the internet to check-in to work, yet we were so busy, we didn't have time focus on it. (2) There weren't sheets on one of the beds we were using. However, when I contacted Key to Italy about it, they sent sheets over right away. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. It was wonderful accommodations in a wonderful city!

Response from the manager Thanks Daria, I agree this place is really unique in many ways but especially in being a large space in the same unit in the very center of Rome. We hope to have back soon with us. ciao! :) Francesca & Team

“Great location”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2013

The "apartment" was exactly as described and worked out perfect for our family group of 13 including a 9 month old baby. The living spaces, bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, cold air conditioning, wi-fi and most of all, location were excellent. Within easy walking distance of all the must see sites in the city, quiet and safe neighborhood. It did not bother us, but with three floors, it is not handicap friendly. Communications with your company, prior, during and after our stay have been very professional and prompt.

Response from the manager Thanks for the very nice review and happy to see how much you've enjoyed the area, the "apartment" and our service and communication! :) looking forward to welcome you soon again. Francesca & Team

“Campo Marzio Roma”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2013

We rented Campo Marzio apartment, because despite its high value, we wanted to be confortably installed in Roma. Location was great! Unfortunately when we arrived at the apartment we had to wait outside because the person who would meet us was late (we advised our arrival time within an hour as requested). The apartment was very big and comfortable, but cleanliness was far below acceptance, specially bathrooms and kitchen (we even found dirty dishware). The bathtube was clothed as was the shower upstairs. The hot water system worked poorly and in our last day we all had to have cold showers (in the winter!). As we spent the whole day outside, we only realized it wasn't working late in the evening, so we didn't call anyone. Rome is great, the apartment is very good, but its maintenance doesn't fit the standards for such property and price.

Response from the manager Hi Jo, thanks a lot for your review. I see you've enjoyed the apartment and place. We are sorry if, for any reason, the apartment was not up to your expectations in terms of cleaning, we have immediately alerted our cleaning company and we will be double checking personally from now on. We are also re-assessing the hot water system to make sure it's working properly, just as a suggestion it's always better to call us in case of any problem so we can either fix or explain how to use something in the apartment. Thanks a lot for your feedback though. all the best. Francesca and the rest of the team.

“Beautiful accomodations”

The accomodations were five star. The location was convenient to the market, bakery and area attractions. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating (they arranged for airort transportation for our family of 11 individuals).

Response from the manager Thanks! this is probably our most beautiful accommodation in Rome. Can't be beaten in terms of property and location. all the best Tiziana, The Key to Italy
