“Spacious and Friendly Welcome”
The apartment was clean and spacious. We were welcomed by a young man who spoke excellent English and showed us all the inner workings of the apartment. He spent time going over map and telling us how to navigate around the city and the highlights we shouldn't miss. One downfall was that he could't find the remote to the AC, so it never got turned on and it was pretty hot. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The two bedrooms had comfortable beds, but the sofa bed in the living area was pretty thin and uncomfortable. The location was OK...it was right next to the train station and trains ran all day and night. I woke up many times during the night thinking a train was going to plow through the living room. If you're in shape and a quick walker, you can reach most of the sites by foot within an hour. Otherwise, it's somewhat on the edge of town when comparing it to all the main sites. If it wasn't for the location, I would recommend it.
Response from the manager Thank you for your nice review of the Giordano apartment. This is an elegant and spacious apartment located in a charming building within a few minutes walking or bus to the city center. It is situated in a wonderful residential area of Florence that offers fantastic bakeries and other amenities frequented by the locals, the perfect location to be a little out of the tourist hub and have a truly Florentine experience! We look forward to hosting you on your return to our wonderful city. Apartments Florence Team
“Spacious & comfortable apartment, perfect for families!”
We just returned from our two week stay in Florence and thoroughly enjoyed staying with Apartments Florence at their Luca Giordano 2b apartment. The location is just outside the hustle and bustle of the historic centre in a lovely residential area. We found this to be great for us! We walked 20 minutes everyday with our one year old daughter to the Duomo and other historic sites. There is a large grocery store nearby on Via Masaccio which was helpful for us as we ate most of our meals in. The team from Apartments Florence were wonderful to work with. The sales team of Becky, Gaby and Jen were delightful during the booking process as I was looking for something specific that could accommodate my family. Then the check in team were great too, it was a pleasure to meet Francesco who gave us a comprehensive explanation of the apartment and area. We also booked a walking tour through their concierge team (Gian Marco) which was awesome!!!!! All in all, I would book with Apartments Florence and stay here again. Grazie!!!
“very comfortable but qite nosy”
The appartment is situated about 15 min walking from the Duomo in Florence. It has very comfortable, large rooms and ist equipped with all you could wish: toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. During our stay we suffered from moskito-attacks. I would not not recommend the appartment to people with a light sleep because the nearby traintrack may not let you sleep.
“Excellent appartment, good service”
Located near Le Cure (an excellent market area) this is in walking distance of the historic centre of Florence. Well equipped and with air conditioning it would suit a summer or winter traveller. We were a family of four (2 teenagers) and it was great. Nice bathroom and kitchen the only downside is the proximity to the train line but you will sleep. Beds are quite comfortable too. Overall - excellent
Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review of your stay at the Giordano apartment. This apartment is only a few minutes from the fantastic daily food market of Le Cure as well as all the amenities of Via Massaccio, being just a short distance from the historic centre it becomes a real home from home. Being located in an area chosen by the locals there are some of the best restaurants and gelaterie in town just a short walk away! Although this apartment is close to the train line the owner has taken great care to install the highest spec in sound proofing glass to ensure the noise is kept to an absolute minimum, I am pleased that you had a good night's sleep. Please visit our Facebook page for updates on events taking place in Tuscany and new apartments! Grazie, Apartments Florence
“Luxurious Stay in Florence”
Our apartment on the edge of historic Florence was spacious, clean and modern, an Ikea-style two bedroom flat with a beautiful view of the town of Fiesole, and the mountain Leonardo da Vinci jumped off in the hope of flight. Apartments Florence was extremely helpful in making all the arrangements, and, on arrival we were met by Cesare, who explained everything we needed to know about our visit. Florence in august is a little like a Renaissance theme park, with most of the locals on vacation and the streets thronged with international tourists. Our apartment was not in the tourist-y part of town at all, which was a welcome respite. Perhaps the walk to the Duomo wouldn't have seemed so far if it hadn't been 105 degrees, but it forced us to learn how to use the city bus, which paid off handsomely as we covered farther and farther territory. We were a couple of blocks from a great supermarket, Essalunga, and there were bakeries nearby, as well. But, one of the greatest advantages of the location was in the opposite direction from Florence, over a bridge, outside what was once the old city walls. There was much more of everyday Florence, a two screen movie theater, showing Hollywood films in Italian, and a variety of shops and restaurants. We had one of our best meals in Italy at La Riseria, a restaurant specializing in rice dishes, where the staff could not have been nicer to us, in spite of our spotty Italian and their unusual menu which was not translated easily from our phrase books. We also were near what some consider the best Gelato in Florence, at Badiano, with superb flavors, including an intense dark chocolate for which they are widely renowned. The layout was extremely convenient for my husband and I and our daughter and friend. The flat is in need of some rewiring, as we quickly learned to use appliances one at a time to keep from tripping the breaker. But, Cesare had explained it all to us ahead of time! A wonderful stay.
Response from the manager Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in this apartment and the surrounding area, which is a wonderful residential area of the city! Regarding the electrics in the apartment, unfortunately is a common situation in the Florentine palazzi as it is difficult to bring enough electricity to support modern consumption, we hope that it didn't make your stay too difficult. We look forward to hosting you again soon! Cari Saluti, ApartmentsFlorence.it
“Great communication and recommendations”
Well organised communication with the check-in agent and you have the option of self check-out which was very convenient. The apartment was newly renovated and clean, however it is located right next to the train line so it's a bit noisy with the trains going past til late at night. It's 20 mins walk to the centre of Florence with bus stops a short walk away. They provided great recommendations of restaurants, best place to get gelato, supermarkets, emergency help that are close by. We just followed those recommendations for the majority of the time we were there because they were so great!!
