“It is time to invest in some basic maintenance.”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2013

For the price paid was very disappointed. Upon arrival the house was not ready and we were unable to access until 5:00pm. Even then the cleanliness of the house was below expectations. Plain and simple it is time to take some of the rental income and invest it back into the property for repairs and upkeep. The wood on one of the steps would fall off everytime you walked on it, the tile floor on the main level needs to be re-grouted. Several tiles would move when stepped. One needs to be a power lifter to open the sliding doors on the main level overlooking the beach. The master bedroom on the main floor is 5 -10 degrees hotter then the rest of the house. A broken chair outside which was mentioned in a previous review was still laying behind the house - it took me all of 2 minutes to fix and put back in place. Walls have been touched up, but unfortunately the paint is not a good match so it makes it look worse. From the outside the house looks great, it is in an area of Gulf Shores we like, but for the money we were very disappointed in condition of the house.

“Pleasant, but not great”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2013

This house, while a great location was less than we expected and for our $$$ money it should have been better. The two ovens, two dishwashers and two refrigerators were a plus. When we arrived the house was not as clean as it should have been. Upon request, someone came and did additional cleaning, but less than necessary. Previous broken furniture which had been tossed from the balconies and litter (plastic bottles, wrappers and other debris) was not removed when we made it known and we did not remove it either. There were dust bunnies under furniture and toiletry caps from lotions, water bottles or whatever under beds!!! Someone in authority at Kaiser needs to oversee these high cost units to ensure they are clean. I am not a yearly renter with Kaiser, but enough that I thought the property was a disappointment for our family get together with three new babies.

“Casual atmosphere”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2010

We have stayed at the Dancing Dolphin for the past 3 years and intend to stay again in 2011. The house has a very comfortable, homey atmosphere. There is adequate space to entertain and cook for our large family when they visit. Being right on the beach is an advantage when our granchildren visit. They can run directly from the house to the beach. And we enjoy our long walks on the beach. We enjoy the location since there is not as much activity as there is closer to town. This suits us fine although there is nothing within walking distance. There are some maintenance issues (balcony doors with no locks) however there is nothing major.
