Very Good

“March rental in Palm Valley CC”

We have stayed in Palm Valley Country Club a dozen times over the years in several different condos. We like the location of Pvcc as it is close to I-10, many restaurants and shops, not far from El Paseo and LaQuinta. This condo was very acceptable! Although the patio did not any water in view, it had the very best views of the mountains of any location we have rented! We spent every sunset on the patio which felt extra spacious since it's located on a double wide fairway. With three king size beds and separate bathrooms with double sinks in each, our guests had their privacy and comfort as well. Both guest baths have walk-in showers too. The kitchen was bright because of the sky light. On the down side, we had ants invade toward the end of the week, with only a spray can of pesticide provided when we reported it which didn't solve the problem. Also, the grill is not located on the patio and is very old. The patio furniture could use replacing. But there was plenty of seating with extra folding chairs provided for the nice dining room table and use on the patio. The dusty very old flower arrangements need to be thrown out and in general the place could be updated a bit. Also, the garage was not ready for renters with the owner's golf cart and exercise bike in the middle it! We had to lift them to move them over just to park one car in it. I would insist that the place be fumigated for ants just prior to arrival with proof documentation. Overall, we would rent it again if we had 3 couples for the view and privacy.

“Why I won't rent off Fairway again”

The place inside was clean and nice. I would have liked to have had some sugar and salt and pepper, as we rent for one buy all the condiments we end up with too much. In the past we always left them in the unit, but I assume that the cleaning people take them away. The table out on the deck had not been cleaned and had bird droppings on it, I phoned fairway to have them clean the patio table. The next day there was a note on the table that said clean the table. I phone Fairway Vacation and talked to the owner and after a few minutes, of talking he said it might be better if I rented off another rental company in the future. We had rented off Fairway for over 10 years at that time. This year 2012 we did rent off another company.

Response from the manager This guest stayed with us for 9 nights. This "review" was submitted over one year after his departure. HERE ARE THE FACTS...We always provide salt and pepper. If it is overlooked for some reason, just give us a call. As a matter of safety and hygiene, we NEVER leave any "soft condiments" such as mustard and mayo. The patio table HAD been cleaned. In response to the renter's request, we came out and re-cleaned, leaving behind a note that we had done so. The patio table was simply dis-colored by sun exposure and there never were any "bird droppings". After a long and difficult telephone conversation, I did, indeed, suggest that this particular renter might want to try another management company for his next visit! JTP, General Manager/Principal
