Description

It is with great pleasure that I add this cottage to our vacation rentals. Over the past four years we have watched with anticipation as this 19th Century sea captain's haven has been lovingly renovated and restored by an artist and historic preservationist, husband and wife team.

By combining modern touches and conveniences with traditional features this dedicated couple has managed to breathe new life into this historic oceanfront vacation rental home.

The design tastefully blends old and new architectural elements, art and furnishings to create an environment rich in character, charm, texture, and comfort. The palate of the home is a simple harmony of warm wood tones and crisp whitewashed plaster with calming ocean touches throughout. The ground floor has a living room, dining room, custom soapstone and wood kitchen with breakfast dinette, a laundry, and full bath with stone and tile walk-in shower. The upper level has a full bath with claw foot soaking tub and two bedrooms to sleep four. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a double bed in guest room.

Additional amenities include: beach chairs, iron & ironing board, fire pit, lawn & gardens, lobster pot, TV for movie viewing only, cd player, 3 piece bath (shower), fridge, stove, books & board games, 1 queen, 1 double, 3 piece bath (bath), coffee maker, kettle, close to beaches, close to grocery store, washer and dryer, no telephone, garden chairs, cell phone reception.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
