“Very good localisation and quiet neigbourhood”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2016

Localization very good and quiet neighbourhood. Good instructions on how to proceed for check-in and check-out. Parking available close-by. Beds uncomfortable because mattresses too soft (sinks in the middle!). Although there is a door that opens outside in the back in the parking area, the apartment is in the basement and is next to the utility room where the furnace is. Unpleasant oil furnace odour.

Response from the manager Thank you for the notification about the mattress. Thanks to your heads up it has now been replaced. Sorry about the smell, sometimes these older buildings do have some quirks. All in all I hope you enjoyed your stay and we'd be happy to host you again. Best, Scott

“Boston back Bay Marlborough”

The location of this property is second to none. The property is affordable but some aspects could be improved. The apartment is in the basement so minimal natural light and bedrooms are very cramped. We were travelling from Australia with large suitcases and had nowhere to put them in the bedroom off the kitchen. The bed was not comfortable and it was less than ideal being a door off a kitchen to sleep. The living room is lovely and the best part of the house. Shower impossible to manage. I think due the location I would recommend to friends but short stay only. Ideal for two people as one of the bedrooms is less than ideal and it was hard work with our suitcases and cramped conditions.

“Fantastic location”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2014

Stayed here for a week for family vacation and college tours. This was a fantastic home base and not that much more than hotels would have been! The good: the location is fantastic, very quiet neighborhood and very convenient to everything you need - short walk to Newbury, Prudential Center, and Copely T stop. Surprisingly nice equipment in the kitchen; usually you get a couple ginsu knives and grocery store pots but they had Cuisinart appliances, Tfal pots and kitchenaid knives. You CAN actually cook here! The shower - OMG, I need one of those at home! The 'Bad': This is just nit picky, but it is what keeps it from being a 5-star Small AC unit does not cool the front end of the house, it was quite warm for Boston when we were there, but this is probably not much of an issue most of the time. The kitchen got VERY hot while cooking. It is a small unit carved out of the basement, I wouldn't call it cramped but it is definitely not spacious. There are only five place settings - not a big issue for us since there were 5 of us, but if you are coming with 6 you may have issues. the table chairs were pretty uncomfortable. needs a little maintenance, the shower drips, some of the outlets are loose Bottom line - I highly recommend this place for a group up to five; it is a tremendous value and a fantastic location.

“Excellent Rental”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2014

My family stayed in Boston for 5 days, and were thrilled with this rental. It had history and charm and the location was ideal. It was a walk (but a walk, not a drive) to everything we wanted to see in the city. We will definitely stay there again.

“Best idea ever!”

Bryan with Short Term Rentals was fantastic to work with; helpful, accommodating and timely with any of my requests. Marlborough Unit 1 was outstanding, the layout affords plenty of room to relax and enjoy a trip with friends or family, but offers privacy from them as well. The location is fabulous! Two blocks from the water, three blocks from Prudential Center, Trinity Church is closeby too! Score! T station at Copley is just a short walk as well as shopping and dining on Newbury, or a multitude of other streets as well. We have enjoyed our stay immensely, and the one small issue we had was attended to by Corey with grace and ease. We would highly recommend staying here.

“Great stay”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2013

My family and I had a wonderful week in our 2bedroom Marlbourogh St. condo. Very comfortable accomodations, great location, and well equipped. We didn't have cable service or wifi for two days, but that was a service provider issue. Management was very responsive and apologetic. We would definitely stay again!

“Beautiful house, even better location”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2013

My husband and I stayed here mid-October with a couple of friends and had a wonderful time. The home is cozy, well-appointed, and the location in Back Bay can't be beat. The beds were comfortable, the living room was nice, and the bathroom was great -- especially the shower! We also really enjoyed having breakfast on the back patio. Highly recommend this rental!!

“perfect”

I never want to stay in a hotel after staying here. 4 of us guys stayed here for our 30th bday vacation and we loved it. Awesome place, Awesome neighborhood, affordable. It was great!

“Simple, convenient and a great location!”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2013

Stayed here as a group of 5 which was a comfortable stay with 2 bedrooms and a further sofa bed in the lounge. The property is on a quiet residential street (except for the construction works to the house next door) with nice neighbours who actually saw us and said hello. Everything was clean in the apartment and well catered for with towels, iron, TV and WiFi. The only problem I found was that there were not enough mirrors but it wasn't a huge issue. The apartment is a great location as it takes about 20 minutes to walk to Fenway Park for the Red Sox or 10 minutes to the Square. A couple of roads parallel to Marlborough St and you have Newbury St with lots of boutique shops. Lovely apartment and a great stay! Would definitely do it again!

“Ideal location and apartment to enjoy all that Boston offers!”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2013

My family and I stayed at this apartment in august 2013 for 4 days and couldn't ask for much more. The home was excellent - equipped with everything we needed all to the highest standard. The lounge was spacious enough to sit back and relax. We were very impressed with the location on Marlborough Street which was 2 blocks from all the main hotspots in Boston. The service was very professional and trouble free. One improvement would be the addition of several more mirrors in the rest of the home (one mirror in the bathroom). Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family and will love to return again. Excellent!
