“Joan's review of La Corte 2”
Good location. Owner was accommodating. Feeling of safety. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and peaceful. Liked that it was a rural setting, yet close to town.
“Virginia's review of La Corte 2”
It was a great location. We were able to go on day trips to several different places. Everything that we wanted to visit was not a far drive from where the villa was located. It was what I expected. And the location was perfect for our plans. We found a great litte resturant in the small town of Orentano. The people were great everywhere we went.
“William's review of La Corte 2”
Very comfortable and convenient property. It is one unit of 3 units in a building; there was one other group in residence but we felt that we were alone. A nice setting in wooded area of rolling hills. No "big" views, primarily forest and trees. Large space and multiple restrooms, with reliable hot water. Well stocked kitchen supplies. The lighting in the living space was a bit dim, and there are no particularly expansive views from the property. The property felt nicely remote and quiet, though close to a large town and the autostrada. A great location to explore all of Northern Toscana.
“Niki's review of La Corte 2”
Relaxing, peaceful, perfect! Giovanna's welcome was the perfect start to our vacation. We were greeted with a full fridge, two bottles of wine, bread, wine, cheese.... I could go on. In fact, having arrived late on Saturday we didn't need to leave the complex until Monday morning. Giovanna even delivered fresh bread on Sunday morning. I had planned a full itinerary of sightseeing but most days we didn't leave the apartment until 2:00pm, just in time for expresso and brioche! The peace and quiet. The grounds. Perfect for children. I barely saw my 9-year old who spent most of the day in the chilly pool, playing tennis or exploring the grounds. The welcome was wonderful too. The beds are very hard. Also, we welcomed the pool being open so early in the season but it was very cold. A heater or solar panels would be a welcome addition. Our favourite town was Lucca. In fact we liked it so much we decided to forego seeing Florence to make a return visit. If you have children, hiring bikes and riding around the city walls is a must. Pisa was fun but it's very expensive to go up the tower - worth it though! Volterra is worth seeing too.
“Lora's review of La Corte 2”
My experience was tremendous. Spent 6 days with friends who all enjoyed the house and the facilities. Will definitely recommend to others and go next year or the year after myself, again. Location. The walls of the house were thin and was able to hear next door very easily. Beautiful garden, great pool and the tennis court was in great condition.
“Robert's review of La Corte 2”
Very good, clean, and the location is fantastic for visiting Tuscany. Very quiet. The showers in the bathrooms. The small village where you can get anything to eat.
“Janice's review of La Corte 2”
Very enjoyable. Very quiet. It felt remote even though it was quite accessible and close to two towns. The beds were hard. Smoke in first upstairs bedroom from the living room fireplace. Beautiful countryside and easily accessible to main roads and many sites.
“Dean's review of La Corte 2”
A wonderful, peaceful experience - partly owing to the time of year we rented in Nov, as there was no one in the other adjoining properties - and partly due to the peacefulness of the location on a back country road. The living areas were very nice but if we're honest what we loved best was the quiet. Our 15 month old has never slept as long or as deeply as she did in this house. The caretakers were also extremely nice. They spoke no English but were very helpful with our check in and out. Would have been nice to meet the actual owners - not a complaint, just a missed opportunity. The beds were on the hard side, not unusual for Europe. Also, partly owing to the time of year, the heating for the week was quite pricey. Nice grounds; made good use of the nice stone outdoor grill even in the cold weather.
“Margo's review of La Corte 2”
The outdoor area was beautiful. The setting was peaceful. Lots of bunnies which my little girl loved. The grill was very nice. Lovely dinners under the stars. The plumbing in the bathrooms backed up. One bathroom upstairs became unusable. Lots of mosquitos. No screens. Lovely countryside. Easy access to autostrada and lots of great cities and towns Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, San Gimignano, Collodi.
Response from the manager Be sure to purchase the anti-mosquito/zanzarra plug-in devices, found in every grocery store in Italy.
“Barbara's review of La Corte 2”
It was wonderful. We really enjoyed our trip very pleasant experience. Everything was great. Had the whole place to ourselves, which was just great. The units on either side were not rented. Nothing!
