“Ken 's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Excellent. I would recommend this villa. The homes were beautiful and the property was well maintained. The Tuscan hill towns were all worth visiting. The countryside is great, with rolling hills and farms, vineyards, and orchards.
“Jill's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Wonderful! There were 13 of us and there was plenty of room to spread out. We had both buildings, which allowed us to cook in both kitchens and have tons of room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything! We ate our meals outside under a covered patio, hung out in the morning for coffee on the covered terrace, stayed by the gorgeous pool during the day, and enjoyed the local wine that the owners made available to us for a great price. It was beautiful. The villa was situated on the side of a small hill and had a wonderful view. It was easy to get around the area, but a car was needed due to being out in the country and lack of walkable roads.
“Beth's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Excellent experience, enjoyed by all 12 travelers. Beautiful, clean, spacious Villa. Lots of room for everyone. Great common area for end of day stories, Terrace for morning coffee overlooking vineyards. Outdoor eating area overlooking valley and Subbiano. Beautiful pool and hot-tub was a great end of day relaxer under the stars. Made use of the outdoor pizza oven for one dinner and then warmth well into the cool fall evening. A great find! Everything! Nothing! A couple of the bathrooms/showers were a little small but very functional. Incredible views and scenery. Quiet.
“Melina's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Words cannot describe this villa. It was absolutely beautiful and we were all speechless. Being perched up on a hill surrounded by vineyards was breathtaking. Even after a week, we continued to pinch ourselves in disbelief. Everything, but especially the grounds and views surrounding the villa. We also loved the fact that farmland surrounded the villa and often we would see farmers out and about in the distance. It felt like we were part of a 'real' Tuscan landscape. This part of Tuscany is off the beaten tourist track which added to the overall experience. The surrounding area of vineyards is beautiful and instills a kind of tranquility...just what you want when on holidays.
“David's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Wonderful!! Beautiful house, spectacular scenery, wonderful local towns. Too much pasta, pizza, and Chianti! More than expected. The villa was remarkably comfortable and I wish my home was as well built. The service of the property made it a true vacation, the outlook from the porch or the pool or the outdoor dining area were all memorable. Hit by a heat wave in the second week and it was tough to cool the house down in the evening, but we were told by the locals that the heat was unusual. In the first week, the days were hot but evenings characterized by cool breezes. There were also dogs barking at night that bothered a few of us. The local town, Subbiano, was delightful with good restaurants, easy grocery shopping, and pastry shop we frequented each morning. Arezzo was 25 min away by car, and well worth spending time before going further afield.
“Charles's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
The villa more than lived up to our expectations based on the reviews and photos on Rentvillas. Everything was in good shape, the garden looked spectacular, and we took full advantage of all the bedrooms, the pool cabana, the dining loggia, the two kitchens, and even the fireplace one wet night at the end of May. We all felt very welcome, and made the villa our home for the week. Grounds, views, lots of new bathrooms, welcoming owners and cleaning staff, great location, thick Frette bathrobes in every room, large pool. The best thing was being able to pick a lemon for the evening Campari and soda right off the tree outside. No complaints, really. Easy to get everywhere. We made day trips to Florence, Arezzo, Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, the outlet mall. Beautiful hill country with terraced olive groves and vineyards.
“Tim's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Size and external area. The noise of the sprinkler system which came on many times in the night, and the dogs barking in two farms, one in front and one behind the villa.
“Judith's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
This is a perfect property for a large family traveling together. The beauty and the views were spectacular. Also, the small village atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. It could use some directions for the kitchen appliances. They are second nature to Europeans, but not for folks from the States. Small village atmosphere and the warm friendly people made it authentic Italy. We were not looking for a tourist experience, so this was perfect. We were centrally located and that made for easy day trips.
“Joe's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Villa Andreina was not only excellent in itself, but also convenient by car to places of interest, such as Poppi, Cortona, Siena. The owner and his family were most hospitable and helpful in recommending things to see and do. And Roberto was a wonderful chef! The occasional and unannounced power outages. The views, the food, and the people.
“Mike's review of Villa Andreina - 14”
Stunning views and a wonderful outside dining nook where we ate dinner every night. Some of us got bug bites, though I don't know whether they were specifically at the villa or just in the countryside in general. We used the wood-fired oven, but some of the cooking tools were missing or unavailable. Very peaceful, with nice walks nearby. Plus the Arezzo train station was close enough - about 30 minutes away - that we could easily take day trips to Florence and other towns.
