“The stay was just okay this time.”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2011

This is the 2rd time we stayed at the Cedar Vista, however this time I was not impressed at all. There were several issues with this house time time. The masterbedroom's shower door was completely broken. The grill did not work. I had to contact the association to get them to come out and plow the hill our house was on because several people couldn't get up the hill. The association did get someone out pretty quickly. I advised the rental staff of the problems we had and they seemed uninterested.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback about your stay. We sincerely apologize that you experienced some maintenance issues with the home which kept you from enjoying your vacation to the fullest extent possible. Unfortunately we do not guarantee grills at homes during the winter as outlined in our policies and procedures. We also apologize that you felt your comments about the property were not received with concern. A member of our management team will be in contact with to talk with you further.

“Winter Wonderland”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2011

The house was great except for a few minor details (no hot pads in the otherwise well-stocked kitchen, leak in kitchen ceiling which maintenance was taking care of.) We very much enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It is also very close to Wisp, another plus. It is not the prettiest location but other amenities (did I mention the pool and hot tub) make up for that. We did enjoy the view of Wisp from the great room.

“A fun New Years getaway with friends”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2011

We loved the indoor pool and hot tub and the pool maintanence person was nice enough to turn up the heat on the pool for us. The location was fine for us because we didn't really leave the house, but I think for a summer getaway, we would prefer a more secluded location. We didn't like how the hot tub seemed so out in the open. The house was good overall, but it definitely seemed a bit rundown---it had a lot of wear and tear. Also, NYE weekend is extremely busy, so we weren't able to get our keys until after 4 and when we got to the house, the service was still cleaning the house.

“Christmas 2010”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2010

Overall, the place was great. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and fireplace the most. The large kitchen table was a plus. We would have liked a few movies, games, etc. to be stocked in the house. The house was well stocked as far as kitchen items, had plenty of seating, and an incredible view of the ski slopes. It was rather expensive though. Picture almost misleading as you get the feeling house is alone on hill, but is actually in the middle of a bunch of houses an arm's reach away. We had trouble with the driveway as none of us have 4-wheel drive for snow.

“Blast time but worried about ants into our food”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2010

Myself and 16 friends of mine had blast time. They were happy where we stayed for the weekend but concerned about the ants crawling around the kitchen near cabinet and microwave. Some of the ladies were complaing about the pool with too much chemical in their eyes, but we did enjoyed ourselves in the pool and hot tub. I did host a weekend with friends two years ago up mountain and I think this year is the best weekend than two years ago due to different people. I plan to host the third time again, which will be in 2012. Thank U so much for letting us rent a house at Cedar Vista for a weekend. Antines Davis

“What an awesome experience”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2010

I have been coming to Deep Creek for the past 6 years. My stay this year was as pleasureable as the past 5. I really enjoyed the property Cedar Vista, it was close to the go-carts, mini-golf, Lazer tag, etc. It was truly an experience that I will never forget.

“Great all around!”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2010

House was clean and roomy. We asked for propane refill it was there within hours. The was a chirp in one of the smoke alarms they were there in short order. Great and pleasant!

“Great”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2010

Everything was great with the making of the reservation and the check in and out was very easy. The house was lovely and nice. The only issue was the hot tub is located out back uncovered and it rained both of the night we were there so we were unable to enjoy it. Other than that everything was great and we would rent this property again.

“Not what I expected overall...”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2010

The home was okay. We had to call maintance everyday for a new found issue. Railey Realty addressed each of the issues, but some of these things could have been prevented if the home was monitored regularly. Some of our issues were: ant in the kitchen and bathroom; the coffee maker lid did not fit accordingly to the pot and kept falling in the pot; the dishwasher was not stablized to the countertop; hot tub would not go above 97 degrees, the shower handle in one of the master bathrooms was broken; the pool was cold; light fixture in the kitchen was leaking water after a shower was taken from the above bathroom...and the list goes on...it was not the completely relaxing weekend as expected, but we will rent from Railey again, just not at this home.

“Too many ants”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2010

The house had ants crawling all over the kitchen. Tv's are outdated and could use upgrading. Other than that, the house was accomodating.
