“Lovely stay at Cedar Lodge”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

Our group truly enjoyed our extended weekend at Cedar Lodge. It was a very cozy home with room enough for everyone to find couch for reading. Really enjoyed the front porch. We really appreciated being allowed to bring our dogs, they loved going on walks on the quiet streets and going to the lake.

“Our relaxing vacation at Deep Creek Lake”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2012

The house we rented was more than we expected. Everything in the house was perfect. It was clean and in perfect order when we arrived. The wood for the fire pit was in great abundance. The hot tub was enjoyable, and was easy to use. The only drawback to our visit was the weather. It rained the entire weekend. We were not able to fully enjoy the outdoors, which was a disappointment for us and our quest. Maybe the next time we go to Deep Creek Lake, the weather will be better. I hope we will be able to do that soon.

“A week-end to remember”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2011

Our children and grandchildren are still talking about the wonderful time we shared at this home. We have enjoyed many large, lakefront houses during summer vacations at Deep Creek, but we have never been there in the fall, off the lake, and in a wooded "neighborhood". There were so many new things to do and explore from this location: hiking, horseback riding, swimming in the indoor community pool, and finding pumpkins and gourds at the outdoor Mountain Fresh Farmer's Market in Oakland. After each outing we looked forward to returning to this house because it was so spacious for all 13 of us! Each evening ended with all of us sitting comfortably together in front of a woodburning fireplace sharing all that we had experienced. Railey's reputation is #1!

“Comfortable pet-friendly home”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2011

This was our third year staying at Cedar Lodge. We love the floor plan, with both living/family rooms on the same floor, and two of the bedrooms sleeping 4 people, great for kids. We also chose this house because it is pet friendly. We also like having a wood burning fireplace, because we always visit in the winter for the ski slopes, Our only complaint is that even with the flu open, when we tried to build a fire in it, the house filled up with smoke, so weren't able to use it this year. We would love to rent Cedar Lodge next year, provided that the fire place chiminey gets taken care of.

“luxurious and relaxing”

This is our 4th Christmas stay at Deep Creek and by far the best. Cedar L was such a family/pet friendly house. We loved the layout because it gave great walking space for dogs and grandchildren. My husband is handicapped and so it was a pleasure to have a bedroom on the first floor. The kitchen was fun to work in. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. I enjoyed the huge bathtub in the major bedroom. Only 1 challenge the flue in the fireplace was hard to open correctly. Please tell the owners we are grateful to have spent a week together as a family

“Relaxing and Fun”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2010

Our time at Cedar Lodge was relaxing and fun. We particularly enjoyed the layout of this house - that the living room and separate family room are both on the same level. That way- even when in different rooms, we all still felt like we were together. We also loved having access to the indoor community pool and the short walk to the lake.

“relaxing, and never had to leave the house”

If a renter is looking for a place away from the rat race , this is a good one -- we are always looking for a place that is secluded somewhat, so we are not right on top of people --- this house is perfect for that, and the virtual tour was spot on with the wide open spaces inside and out --- The front porch is awesome, and it would be nice to have one of those in the back too. --- we brought most of our food for cooking at the house, and we really needed nothing --- the only negatives, are that the hot tub had not been sanitized in a while, and we lost use of that because they need to come and clean it and it never got back to a desired temperature again -- we ran out of propane during cooking the first day there, and we needed to call for more --- other than those couple things, the house worked for our needs, and we might try to rent again if we knew the house was fully prepared for our rental when we arrive

“relaxing and fun”

Cedar Lodge is a wonderful rental property. The porch is extremely nice in the summer with its rocking chairs, fans and cover - can sit out there anytime. The property is laid out well with 2 large family rooms so the kids have their own place to hang out. It is a short walk to the pier where we fished and kept our rental boat one day. The neighborhood of Blakesly is quiet and safe.

We loved Cedar Lodge and sad it is not available to return rental at this time. We had a great time with family and friends. Anyone wanting to just sit back and relax, this is the place to go. The open floor plan was great for children so we could keep an eye on them. Relaxing evenings by the fire or hot tubs just spells relaxation. This location is family friendly!

“Great place for friends to get away to.”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2010

thank you. we loved the house and especially the layout of it. 2 separate family rooms close by is a great idea. adults were in one and the kids were in the other. much better than when the 2 rooms are on different floors. one problem, it snowed a lot on the third day of our stay but no one came to play the driveway. we had to do it ourselves. otherwise a great 5 day getaway. we will definatlly be back to rent from you guys. alex
