“Comfort and convenience”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2011

Our extended family of 6 adults and 2 children loved the layout and decor. The children loved the bunk beds and their parents conveniently stayed in the neighboring bedroom in the privacy of the lowest level. They also had their own family room for the kids to watch TV. The remaining adults enjoyed having 2 master bedrooms and the tasteful decor. This house was very clean and provided everything we needed for a weekend stay. We would definitely recommend Railey for rentals as they had such a selection of properties to choose from as well as exceptional customer service.

“Home away From Home”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2010

This is our second year staying at Cedar Shores #16 and next year will make it our 3rd. The villa is spacious, and furnished with all the comforts of home. The location is perfect for accessing the lake for boating and it's not too far from the State Park for picnicing and swimming. Our grandchildren , ranging in age from 2 1/2 years to 22 years , enjoy the closeness of the arcade and go carts. The Wisp Resort, located a stones throw away and is one of our favorite places to visit. Every year we mountain bike, go rafting, play paintball and ride the the coaster . I would like to see better service when there is an issue with the villa and a more thorough cleaning by housekeeping.

“Ooops, there it is!”

Our time at Deep Creek was one to remember! Everything was something to marvel about from the hottub and fireplaces to the well thought out master suites on the top level. The internet access proved to be a hit. This truly was the place to stay. We will be back, definitely!

“We love the house but we couldn't get to the slopes because we d”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2010

We had some issues with the Hot tub (It was on 54 degrees when we arrived) and the great room fireplace pilot was off so we couldn't use it the first night. The major issue we had was getting our parking lot plowed in a timely manner. We couldn't get to slopes on Saturday and therefore missed a full day of skiing. The management company did reimburse us $100.00 for the inconvenience but I will get a better understanding of the snow removal issue before I rent any unit in Cedar Shores again. The house was great beyond the above issues and we would rent it again if the problems were addressed.

“Nice but loud”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2010

I had a terrible experience with the next door renters who were in the hot tub until 3am screaming. When I told them to be quiet, they just laughed and continued. You can pick you home but not your neighbors. Be careful!!!

“Good property but needed some housekeeping.”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2010

Our stay was good. The location was great. We have stayed in other Cedar Shores Villas before. Staff at Railey was wonderful. Property had nice furnishings but needed a bit of housekeeping. Refrigerator was dirty inside. Stove and backspash were greasy. Dishwasher soap holder was broken. Cooking pans were old and had teflon pealing in them. Other rooms were fine. Would stay at Cedar Shores again but mayne not this unit.

“Great retreat place!”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2009

We truly enjoy the house with its view of the mountain. We like not being right at the mountain, but close enough it is easy to get to. Even on snowy days, it is easy to get in and out so we can get to the restaurants in the area. The number of bedrooms is great and allow for a reasonable number of guests to be present at a reasonable cost when you consider other properties in the area, especially those right at the ski area. Given our jobs, the addition of wireless internet is great too. The hot tub is a positive attraction for us as well. We have friends who join us there now on a regular basis and it has a very relaxing atmosphere.
