“Magnificent”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

Magnificent View Point lives up to it's name. This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful lake front home. The home is beautifully decorated, bright & cheery. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The large lot is conducive to playing games with a short walk to your private dock. Swimming is great there because there isn't any lake grass. It is located at the end of a quiet cove which is so relaxing & peaceful. The owners have done everything possible to make one's stay a great memory.

“Home was very well spaced out and a wonderful view of lake.”

The home sits on a private inlet with wonderful views of the lake. Short distance to private dock for swimming, fishing, sun-bathing, and privacy. We would recommend to all folks interested in a great lakefront home.

“Boat, fishing, campfire and hammock.”

The location of the house, the dock and the wooded setting by the lake created an atmosphere of well needed rest and relaxation. The flat lawn and easy access to the very solid dock allowed my father, who is 85 and walks with a cane, to easily get on and off our boat.

“Beautiful Big House”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2011

The house is remarkably large for 3 bedrooms. Almost too large. It is well-equipped. Some things, like how to use the TV surround-sound systems would benefit from a brief explanation by the TVs. It would also benefit from having the multitude of light swithces labeled. The location is private. Withy icy roads, it took a bit longer to get to Wisp than anticipated (better to use the back way than the directions provided with the check in materials).

“Magnificent View Point”

Probably one of our best vacations at Deep Creek Lake, largely as result of the house and its location on the lake. The house was everything we hoped it would be and it provided good value for the money spent to lease it. Well equipped and well furnished. Of the six houses we have rented in last six years, it is probably second best. Position on the point made for beautiful setting on the lake. Swiming and fishing were great for all of the family. Only set back was the aproach to the house. Tree in front obscured the mailbox and the house number and there was no Railey's sign to be seen anywhere. On our first approach to the house, we turned around and left because nothing matched what we were told to expect and there was a vacant car parked in the parking lot. On second approach to the house, we found the house number on the mailbox underneath the tree. Next trick was to get into the house. Neither set of keys worked on the front doors. Seems the keys were newly cut so didn't work well. After some serious twisting and multiple tries, was able to open one of the doors. Later, I put some lubricant in the keyhole. Problem solved.

“Relaxing while enjoying truly magnificant views”

Reviewed 16 Oct 2009

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at magnificent view point. From the gourmet kitchen which was a pleasure to cook our meals in, to the lovely fireplaces in each room, and the oversized rec room where we could play games and enjoy an old fashioned wood fire, the entire stay was amazing. Because the fireplace was off to the side of the house, it didn't make the entire house smell. The only drawback is that the location is quite far from the grocery store and shopping. Overall though, it was an amazing home and experience.
