“Fun in the snow !”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2014

Sundance was a great home for the long weekend, love the two refrigerators. we have kids so the trundle beds were prefect. Water pressure could have been a little better, but a fun time ! Thank you ..you have a Beautiful home.

“Relaxing in Comfortable Surroundings”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2010

My family, my two sisters and their families and our mother thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sundance. The house is absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of room for a crowd. Although the weather didn't fully cooperate during our stay, we all found plenty to do. From group board games, to quietly reading a book, to preparing a gourmet meal in the wonderfully appointed kitchen -- a good time was had by all. Our compliments to the owners!!

“Paradise, Indeed!”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2010

Sundance is located on Paradise Road, and it was a wonderful home to live in with our family: three daughters with husbands and children, ages 11 to 9 mos. There was plenty to do: fishing, golfing, an arcade, great ice cream parlor just around the corner, nearby grocery stores, and a great salon for manicures, pedicures and facials. The home had lots of dinnerware and silverware, and we never ran out. The dishwashers ran at least once each day -- there were 15 of us! I can't think of a negative point. and I highly recommend it.

“Just so relaxing!!!”

This year was our 1oth year at Deep Creek and our first in Sundance, it was just wonderful. We love the lake and have now found our favorite place to stay!

“Memorable”

Reviewed 1 Mar 2010

We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed the home immensely! The kitchen was great..for a large group it was layed out perfectly and dual appliances were wonderful! We would stay again. Thank you for allowing us this memorable weekend! We hope to come back again someday!

“Thoroughly exciting even with inconvenience of leak”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2010

Due to the recent amounts of snowfall in the Deep Creek area, there was a severe leak in the master bathroom but that did not stop our excitement and fun! This house was perfect for our group (14 friends) and everyone had plenty of room. Also, the pool table, foosball table and hot tub came in very handy! No one was ever bored! Ice fishing on the lake, skiing at Wisp, laying around watching TV or playing games with friends is the perfect escape from the normal grind. We always enjoy ourselves in Deep Creek and visit the area at least once a year (from Pittsburgh).

“If it weren't for the Hot Tub issues...again”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2010

I've already written an e-mail and spoke on the phone with LaDonna. The house was great but Railey dropped the ball (again) in regards to the Hot Tub. We arrived New Years Eve and the Hot Tub was unlocked, temperature below 70 degrees and not operating. This should have been addressed BEFORE our arrival. When someone spends over $1000/night on a house should we not expect everything to be in working order upon arrival? I will not reiterate my concerns since LaDonna already listended to me yesterday. Bottom line is that I had 28 people looking for me to fix the hot tub and I could not help them. Yes it was fixed late-night New Years Eve but the water temperature did not rise to the required level until noon the next day. The house was great, Railey has always been great, but they ALWAYS drop the ball on the Hot Tub. We've rented from you on New Years Eve for 16 of the last 20 years (2 years in Canaan Valley and 2 years with other agents at Deep Creek). We estimated that we've had hot tub issues in at least 6 of those 16 rentals and once you had to relocate us to a different house due to a dead Hot Tub. As I've told LaDonna we decided amongst the 7 families to try a different agency next year. Yes Railey has the most and best rentals at Deep Creek. However, the dead hot tub and a unresponsive and somewhat rude agent who I spoke to New Years Day has soured us on the Railey name.

“Fun and memorable getaway.”

I received wonderful service at this home. The home was nicer than the pictures and what I expected. We had a great time and will love to visit again. We already starting planning for next year.

“Very Nice”

My only concern was that the bed sizes were listed as Kings and Queens and the Queens seemed for like full sized beds.

“Our stay at Sundance”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2009

We really enjoyed the home. It was more than well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The amenities were first rate. The location on the lake was fabulous. The thing that was least enjoyable about our stay was the view and lack thereof. We understand the need to keep as many trees as possible and would in no way suggest taking them all down. The removal of a couple, actually less mature trees would add a great deal to this most charming home. Improved dockage and dock area would be a plus as well.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at Sundance. We are happy that you found the home enjoyable and comfortable. Deep Creek Lake has heavy restrictions on removing trees on the buffer zone, which is why a large number of lakefront properties have wooded shorelines and filtered view. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon! Please call us if you have any questions on a future stay.
