“Amazing!!! This was a perfect location for a family gathering.”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

We stayed at Cedar Ridge 12 for a family vacation with 8 adults ranging in ages from their 20s to 60s. The unit was very spacious and well provisioned allowing us to be together yet have some privacy. The location was perfect with enough snow at the end of april to ski in and out or walk down to the village to enjoy après ski, shopping or dining. The walk back uphill was not difficult, but if some wanted a taxi, it was easy to get one at the end of the village and cost less than $10. The hot tub and views from it were a great way to relax each afternoon. We cooked in several nights and found the kitchen to be very well stocked with cooking utensils and wine glasses! One evening we did the Fine Dining Tour through Whistler Wine Tastings which we would highly recommend. Sabering champagne at Bearfoot Bistro was a highlight and the tour allowed us to experience five different restaurants in one night. From this location it was easy to enjoy many of the activities available in Whistler. People of all abilities skied, even when it was raining in the village, it was snowing on the mountains. We also enjoyed the Tree Top Trek and nature walk by Ziplines and one brave family member went bungee jumping and had an incredible experience. Cedar Ridge 12 definitely lived up to the advertising of being the best location in Whistler! It was close to the Village and gondolas and was an amazing location for a family coming to Whistler without a car. Thank you David Evans.

“Great Ski-in/out”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

We visited in the Spring (April) and the location was still very much a ski-in/out and this made our stay so convenient. The place was very clean and very spacious. The only downside for the place was that it wasn't that convenient to get to the Village. We are the type of vacationers that like to go into the village every evening for dinner and while it wasn't too far to drive we prefer a location in which we can easily walk into the village. While you can walk down the slope to the village since it is so close, it just wasn't an option since we had several small kids with us and the walk back up just would be too difficult.

“All out trumps.”

What a spot, what a place. Cedar Ridge 12 provided us with the foundations for a terrific trip. The house is in Whistler's best location, well appointed and more than adequately sized. Additionally, the landlord, DE is an understanding, resourceful and welcoming person. These two elements together set the stage for what was a fantastic trip to Whistler. Even with the most unfortunate lack of snow. Thumbs up and cheers.

“Excellent Expreience”

My family enjoyed our time at Whistler. Great place to stay with. Everything you need, you can find it!!! I would book it again if I want to go to Whistler!!

“Very comfortable and clean accomodation.”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2013

Cedar ridge was such a great place for the large number of people we had. The condo is laid out very well, everyone had their own private space and there was plenty of room to be together in the main living area. Nothing can beat the spectacular view of the mountains from the hot tub. The only down falls were the lack of parking, and the kitchen lacked some supplies. Overall, great stay!

“Perfect location for a ski vacation”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2013

This is the second time we have rented this property for our Whistler vacation. The Cedar Ridge location cannot be beat. You have reliable and easy ski on-ski off access (unlike some places which only have access in ideal snow conditions). David Evans has been a very responsive owner of the property. He addressed the issues I had during our stay last year and followed through with some of our suggestions. The unit is a clearly rental property (versus a place where someone lives on a regular basis). Having people in and out of a place just wears on it. Certain little things, like some of the cabinet doors, were cracked and breaking. That said, this unit was very comfortable for my family and friends. The hot tub worked well. The kitchen is stocked with cooking vessels, baking sheets and utensils. I did notice that there were less cereal bowls and cups (I am sure they just break over time) than last year, but still there were still enough to keep us going. The knives are super dull -- bring your own if you want to do some serious cooking (but this is the case with any rental that we have ever had). The rooms at this 4BR property are fairly spacious, with a good array of sleeping arrangements to allow for larger groups. There are plenty of towels and bedding to make the stay comfortable. The washer/dryer worked very well. Ski and snowboard storage was easy in the attached garage. The heated floor in the foyer made keeping our boots warm and dry easy. Whistler Village is only a short downhill distance away, doable even for beginner skiers. Because we had some non-skiers and toddlers with us, part of our group would drive to the Blackcomb Gondola midstation (free parking lot) in the morning and then download easily to Whistler Village. The car was then ready and waiting after upload at the end of the ski day. This really worked well for our entire party. We very much enjoyed our trip and look forward to future stays in this unit!

“Great location, but could do with an upgrade to furnishings and”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2013

We really loved the location and quick ski or walk down to Whistler Village. The unit is very spacious and the open plan living room is a very social area with the sofa being as comfy as it looks in the photo. Plenty of towels and pillows etc and bedding very clean. If being critical, then would have to mention a few things. The master bedroom bed - its impossible to sleep in, just turning over means the bed makes the most dreadful loud squeeking noise (think some things need tightening up or something) and so we moved into the bunkbed room instead as it was that bad. Few things missing in the kitchen: large frying pan, chipped crockery, different sizes of wine glasses, lack of plastic glasses, no fondue set (we bought one), things looking a bit tired. Also looking in need of a refresh/clean were carpets and furniture. We had to call for the cleaning on the 7th or 8th day. All in all a nice condo, great location, just needs a bit of spruce and inventory update.

Response from the owner Thank you Dawn for your comments, I will ensure that the master bed is either fixed or replaced and do a thorough review of all items in the kitchen and replace those that need to be and add the items you have mentioned are missing. Carpets are all cleaned prior, during and after the ski season I will ask the cleaning staff to monitor this closely to ensure this is sufficient. Regards, David Evans

“Awesome time in whistler”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2013

We wanted a cozy place to spend with friends and this rental fit the bill. There were 11 adults and one baby so figuring out sleeping arrangements was difficult as there were 5 couples. Two couples ended up sharing the room with 2 bunkbeds. If there was one more room, this place would have been perfect for us. The instructions with the rental were very straightforward and David was great by letting us know about everything in the house. The house is ski in and ski out to the village run so it is accessible from Blackcomb only. Hot tub is good for 6 at a time max. Beds were comfy but the bed in the master suite creaked a lot when just getting into the bed. It was a bit inconvenient coz we had our 4 month old with us who would sometimes get startled at the noise and wake up. This was very minor. Overall the house was very cozy. If you are into more nightlife i would suggest just finding a place in the village but if you want a more homey feel with a large group of people. Check this rental out.

“awesome spot”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2012

This place was great!!! I actually was not expecting it to be so good! I brought paper plates and cups thinking there wasnt going to be enough of those type of things, but this suite had everything we needed!!!, I would 100% stay here again!!! there is a perfect amount of beds, awesome set up, 3 bathrooms, hot tub and dish washer and laundry! cant get any better then that. I am super excited about this place!!! Only hick up was when I was reading the paperwork it told me to call a certain person, but when I called them they had told me they didnt work for that company anymore, so I was pretty worried but she gave me a new number and she atleast knew what I was talking about. When we got there the door was hard to unlock but after messing around with the key pad we figured it out.
