As always, we had such a wonderful, peaceful, restful trip there. We love, love, love the cabin. Everything was wonderful, the view was great. We stayed on the property 2 years ago and decided that since we had such a wonderful time there, we would stay there again. It's always nice to stay where you are worried free. Our family members who were visiting there for the first loved the cabin as much as we did. Thanks for taking care of us.
“A change in altitude will change your attitude!!!”
This is a spectacular cabin!!! Very clean and has plenty of room for two families. My wife and I stayed in mid august 2012 and the weather was just spectacular!! Mid 50's at night with a high around 75 degrees. It's just 20 minutes from downtown asheville which makes it a very good location for all the activities of downtown. We'll be back next summer for sure!! We have now stayed at three different cabins in this community and they all were nice!!! J&R; from Trinity, Florida
“Refreshing and surprising”
We had a great 2-day family reunion (from Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville and Johnson City) high in those tall mountains where the scenery was gorgeous, bracing, beautiful, refreshing and totally relaxing. We found the cabin's facilities and furnishings very much to our liking and we do plan for another visit to #51 again next summer.
Response from the manager We're glad to hear you had such a lovely stay at Dream Catcher. Scenic Wolf Resort is a wonderful place to get away from it all, and the view just can't be beat! We look forward to hearing from you again as you plan your vacation for next summer! --The Carolina Mornings Team
“this was a great spot to relax and just take in what nature has”
This is where my family and I decided to vacation as part of my daughter's graduation gift. The scenery was breathtaking! The rooms were nice a spacious. The drive itself wasn't bad. We just had a great time!
Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Dream Catcher. We hope that memories of your family's stay at Scenic Wolf Resort will be treasured for years to come. You must be so proud of your daughter! It's good to hear you say that the drive was manageable - it is so worth it for the incredible view! “Awesome time in the mountains!”
A ladies group of 7 stayed in the Dream Catcher for a weekend during our Christian Ladies retreat.Though it rained during most of our stay we did have some time for a walk in the sunshine on Saturday. The views were breathtaking just as the sunset was on Friday evening! From the back deck in the mornings it seemed we were waking up in the clouds which was a plus in my book!!The kitchen had all the utensils and dishes needed to whip up several meals we enjoyed. The house is comfortable, roomy and beatifully decorated. The Hot Tub was a added luxury for achy bones!!All of the ladies were thouroughly impressed and want to return for another retreat. As for myself I would like to return with my family and another group of friends possibly this summer. The house is so very roomy, comfortable and decorated beautifully. All the kitchen utensils and dishes we needed to whip up delicious meals were available. The house was immaculate and the staff very friendly, courteous and ready to serve. Every lady was thoroughly impressed and all want to return again for another retreat. As for me I am wanting to return with my family and another group of friends perhaps in the summer.

“Only thing missing was snow!”
I took a group of students to ski and thankfully they opened to the bottom of the mountain but the top lodge Remained closed. As far as the cabins go we were in love and plan to return!!! They made our trip something special and I believe the students behaved better after realizing that I thought enough of them to put the Up in luxury rather than a hotel...
Response from the manager What lucky students you have! A stay at Dream Catcher certainly is better than bunking up at a hotel. This cabin is comfortable and roomy and has fun amenities like a private hot tub and ping pong table. Plus, a fully equipped kitchen makes dining much more affordable, and who doesn't love a home cooked meal after a day on the slopes? Carolina Mornings, the new management team at Scenic Wolf Resort, looks forward to welcoming you and your students back this winter. We'll certainly try to put some more snow on order for your next visit to the resort! --The Carolina Mornings Team
We rented two homes side by side for 20 people. It was great! Fishing, the pool with the slide, it was very nice. We will vacation there again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. There was plenty of room for 2 adults and 5 teens, plus meals for 6 more family members that stayed in another cabin. This was my second trip to Scenic Wolf and I would definetly go again.

“We had a blast”
My family and another family (4 adults + 5 kids) just got back from staying at the Dream Catcher. In short, we had a blast. We knew going in that there probably wouldnt be snow for skiing, but that was fine with us. We did day trips to the Biltmore (awesome) and downtown asheville (also awesome.) Getting up and down the mountain to Scenic Wolf was slightly scary (have no idea how they do it with snow) but trips to asheville only took 40 minutes. The house was great. Slept all 9 of us perfectly, but wouldn't suggest much more than that in less someone doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. I had no cell service (ATT) up on the mountain/resort but the wifi in the house worked great (3gb download) so I was able to stay in contact via email/web. Owners had a good supply of dvd's for all ages (although some appeared to be missing.) Ping pong table was a big hit to our kids, although we had to go buy some decent paddles and balls for it. We left them there for the next guests. We really liked to location of Unit 51 as well. Close enough to walk to the pool. The pool was pretty nice and had a great slide, but it was pretty cold. Wish it would have been heated. Kitchen in the house was in good shape. We had everything we needed for meals. Grill worked great for steaks. Sorry for my rambling, just trying to recall all the pluses and very few minuses of our trip there. End result, I would recommend this cabin to anyone.
Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with Scenic Wolf. Your kind remarks and feedback makes it possible for us to address any issues in our cabins so they can be resolved for the next guests (thanks for the Ping Pong table accessories). Please plan a return trip and when you book let is know you are a returning guest. Dick September 2012: Please note that Carolina Mornings, the area's premiere vacation rental service, assumed management of the Scenic Wolf Resort properties in the summer of 2012. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Dream Catcher and look forward to helping you plan your next mountain vacation! --The Carolina Mornings Team
“A surprisngly spacious little modern cabin”
I booked this cabin for a group of friends, and none of us had been to the Wolf in the past, so we had no idea what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised by the Dream Catcher. It is very clean, modern and new feeling, and has plenty of space for groups up to about 8-9 people. The listing says "sleeps 11", but that's a bit of a stretch...unless all 11 are college kids who don't care about sleeping on couches and bunk beds. We had 8 people (adults) and it was just perfect. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas fireplaces (upstairs and downstairs) put out a ton of heat. This place is great for a small group of adults (8 or less) or maybe two couples with a few kids each. It's walking distance (very close) to the upper lodge and its lift, which is great. My only real gripe is that the resort doesn't recycle, so basically all of your bottles, cans, and plastic go in the trash...at least as far as I know. They didn't return our call asking about recycling, and there were no designated bins or separate instructions for putting out recyclable materials.
Response from the manager We'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that since your stay at Dream Catcher, the properties at Scenic Wolf Resort are under new management with Carolina Mornings, the area's premiere vacation rental service. We're pleased to hear that your group had a great vacation at the resort and found the cabin's amenities to your liking. We appreciate that in your review you included concerns about the number of people the cabin listing says it can accommodate; our team is currently revising all property listings and, as an environmentally conscious company, we are making efforts to improve services such as recycling. We hope to hear from you soon as you plan a return trip to Scenic Wolf Resort! --The Carolina Mornings Team
