“Great Time In Destin”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2013

The service was great, the condo was ready to go for us. The layout of the condo was awesome, the kitchen was big and plenty of room for guests to enjoy. The location was great close to the beach for walking, swimming pool was as well as the tennis court and shuffle board. I did have to purchase a can opener, the electric one was broken and the ones in the drawer didn't work either. There was tile that came off after closing the drawer which needs to be fixed looked like it was repaired before. I would also replace some of the vertical blinds, some of them were missing as well. I will defintely be back, I felt that the grounds were well maintained and security was great. Great value for the price.

Unit was very adequate, but decorating, furniture, and appliance were in great need of updates.

“One problem after another”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2009

We first started out in the East Pass Towers but had to move to another condo complex because no one told us the pool would be closed for 3 wks and the unit was not clean (toliets had black ring in them and dirty sheets in the closet). So we had to packed up everything and move to the Shoreline Towers condo complex and pay an extra $81. Then when we got to the new condo, the guest tub leaked into the condo underneath us and we were told we could not use the tub anymore. We were full to capacity and had to schedule everyone for taking their baths. We were offered once again to pack up and move but at that point we were 36 hrs into our vacation and we were tired of it all. The problem was never fixed the entire time we were there. Needless to say we were not happy with the service and we do not feel we were compensated for our total inconvenience.

Renting a condo on the beach is something you get excited about and look forward to. Location wise, the condo was right on the beach. WOW. We had rented at Shoreline Towers before and knew this was a location we could fall in love with. The trick was to find the right condo there. Unfortunately, we haven't. I don't understand why someone would rent out a unit and leave broken furniture in it. With two locked inside closets, why would you store old paint cans and odds and ends in the kitchen pantry and extra blinds, mirror, and other things in one of the double closets in the spare bedroom making it unusable. It had two t.v.s but they were like 20" ones. Hard to take after getting used to our large screen t.v. at home. Then of course there was the issue of the washer and dryer that was going to be installed during our stay sometime which never happened. The uneven stove elements because the wrong size rims were put in (these were replaced but I feel that someone did not do their job beforehand for this to have happened.) It is all these types of little things that are not so little when one is renting a place for five months. If you are only there for a week or two, it is not that important. There were other minor things that needed seeing to as well. I was quite surprised to get a call this year to see if we wanted to rent it again because they had finally put in the washer and dryer. No, I can't honestly recommend this unit to anyone. With some changes though, (cleaning out the kitchen pantry and spare bedroom closet, majorly upgrading the t.v.'s and perhaps remodelling the bathrooms) it could be a very nice unit.

“Our week at the beach”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2008

We took our kids and their friends to the beach for a week - staying in this condo was much easier than a hotel. We were able to have breakfast whenever we woke up and stocked up the refrigerator with sodas and munchies. I think it saved us alot of money on that alone. The best thing about the condo was the little window in the bedroom that opened up and you could go to sleep with the sound of the ocean singing you to sleep! I want to be there NOW!
